Because this is about Photoshop, I did all the heavy work in Photoshop CS2. Story link here . I won’t try to explain step by step because it would take me a while to find the proper words. Let’s say this thing is at 3000×3000 with some ridiculous level of detail to make sure every link and sphere was well-placed. I used the basic tools of Photoshop, no strange things: “the only limit is your imagination”. I know, cliché. Lines+polygon tool and a lot of sense of geometric disorder/psychosis. Took me hours to arrange those lines and circles in the three distinctive patterns, plus I cloned the original design twice and arranged it with the distort options to give a sense of “deep” or 3D. That’s it. Hope you like this insane Genesis!

This creation took many post editing PS steps to get to this result. Many times as I start with a photo and start to explore the creative possibilities I find that I’m creating a one of a kind piece of abstract art and when I think back I don’t think I can duplicate it again. This is the sheer joy of digital post editing, I really never know what’s going to be the end result.

Many of my co-workers were stuck in New York and could see the towers from their hotel….others were in D.C. and actually saw the explosion of the the plane going into the pentagon. People were running and shoving…..I can’t imagine what that was like…..I was flying on my way to Phoenix and we were diverted to Omaha. I spent two and a half days there….not long in comparison to others…..it was a day I will never forget. / / / Today’s picks August 23rd 2009 / “And now that you’re in your room, CLEAN IT!!” / / “Go to your Room!!” / / / Also picked today….Aug, 23, 2009 / “All about Fire” / / As the nightmare of a delayed flight out of Philadelphia turned into two and a half hours I realized I wouldn’t make it home. / So I sat and looked at images…......This sweet image of red shoes made me realize that I had the power all along….all I had to do was click my heals together and repeat…................ / “There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home” / I can tell you now as I sit on my very own couch that this is TRUE!!
