There are also variations in pale pink and brilliant red. They are very decorative and their brilliant showy flowers attract a miriad of birds, including the demanding hummingbird. / /

These Red Powderpuff Flowers are in full bloom at this time. They are a flowering tree and they really are brilliant…similar to the white ones and the pink ones they make quite a show in anyone’s garden. / /

Shot in the lateaftenoon just before sunset. Raw format, converted in CS3, Painted with my wacom tablet and Corel Painter Essentials 4 to give an oil painting look. The daughter is, once again, my beautiful daughter, Jessica. Dressed her to fit in with the era of the turn of the century house behind her. The house is part of the Sagauro Ranch in Phoenix, AZ area. It grew citrus, figs and dates and was established in the late 1800’s.
