  • More from the Lightscapes Set Gorgeous morning at a car boot. I got distracted by this and walked off a bit to take this at 5.30am on a cold winters morning.

  • More from the Lightscapes Set Poem: The Secret Place From: The Ice Cream Store. Toronto: Harper Collins Publishers, 1991. There’s a place I go, inside myself, / Where nobody else can be, / And none of my friends can tell it’s there— / Nobody knows but me. It’s hard to explain the way it feels, / Or even where I go. / It isn’t a place in time or space, / But once I’m there, I know. It’s tiny, it’s shiny, it can’t be seen, / But it’s big as the sky at night . . . / I try to explain and it hurts my brain, / But once I’m there, it’s right. There’s a place I know inside myself, / And it’s neither big nor small, / And whenever I go, it feels as though / I never left at all.

  • For those who dont know what these lines are they are stars. / I set the camera on the B setting and leave the shutter open for upto 10 hrs. / As the earth rotates it gives you these lines.I do not recommend the use of digital cameras for taking startrails

  • Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square PA This was taken just inside the front entrance.

  • When the conditions are right where I live we experience the wonderful phenomena of sea fog. The first one I experienced was when I was “in between” cameras. I was devastated! I have been hoping ever since that we would get another one… I peered out the window today while I was on the phone and saw that today was the day! I had to make my apologies to my friend on the phone – a girl has to get her priorities right – and happily spent the next two hours snapping, with my young boys as my photography assistants. The title of this piece is inspired by one of my favourite scenes in Lord of the Rings. Gandalf the mighty wizard gives his life to ensure the freedom of his friends… and so my friend today gave to me the same gift of freedom as I hastily hung up the phone to explore my sea fog.

  • Enjoy! _

  • This is the second image from outside this winter. I took this Thursday morning while strolling around in the snow storm :) The few trucks that passed me looked at me like I was crazy walking along side the road, and I took very few shots because I was afraid to get my camera too wet but the snow looked amazing. I did some work with this one in photoshop to turn the snow from grey to white- but there really was that much snow that you couldn’t see the road or anything in the distance.

  • Travelling through Arizona I noticed so much desolation, abandoned structures, disconnected souls… which prompted me to stop and listen, I’m fascinated with connecting sound to the visual medium. / How do you visually capture the sound / of desolation…this is my attempt…. The transparency of the girl shows a dissociativeness with the landscape. / Is she there only in spirit? Not only until one is heard completely do they connect totally with their environment.
