I just discovered another oil painter on Ustream TV who paints online quite often. I am fascinated with people who have the moxy to paint online live, and are able to chat with the audience of viewers, and describe what they are doing at the same time. Plus if you are a painter, you will learn a whole bunch of stuff while you are watching, and you can participate in the chat and ask questions. You can sign up on his site for regular updates, and also follow him on twitter as well. Check out Dave The Painting Guy and join in, I think you will enjoy it.

Hello. / Tonight I hung out with some friends who were out Parkour -ing it up on the streets of Reading. / And I had my camera with me, but rather than taking boring pictures of people jumping about like loons, I decided to play around with some more light painting. I then taught my friends what it was all about; here are the results. ALL UNEDITED apart from cropping Gareth Lieske / Alan Hope / Lightning Attack, apparantly / I sucked at this / lol BUMMING! Yes, my drawing with torches sucks! / Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit / Guitar… or not / So yes, from tonights experience, I have learned to try not to suck so bad when drawing. / We’re planning on going somewhere much darker, and use a maglight rather than the torch in my phone.

  • Featured in one group and belated kudos to anothe group

This painting, I just found out, rather by accident, has been featured in ADAWG. Not gong to take the time to look up the link for the group, as I am thoroughly convinced anyone who is looking at my work already belongs to it; or, at least, knows where to find the link on other works of mine. Thank you for the feature, and if I say thank you some more again, later, it is only because I’m scatter—brained! Now, the All Things Orange Group: I wrote about them on this same painting, as it was firmly rejected in all aspects of it that were uploaded at the time. I posted that on the description, along with my email to the co-hosts. One of those co-hosts replied back to me, wonder of wonders, and then went even further than that, by acknowledging that they were probably the person who rejected them and telling me to submit them again. The ones that I did submit again were accepted. They were right about one of them, though, for, even though the whole painting is predominantly orange, it really didn’t show in one detailed scan I had uploaded. I think this is an attribute among co-hosts that should be praised, and followed as an example. What she did was wonderful, and it would have still been wonderful if I was wrong, as was pointed out by the fact that in one part I was very definitely wrong at the time. Come to think of it, my example should also be praised and followed: I read the rules, I posted, work was rejected, I re-read the rules and group description, I contacted all the co-hosts (letting them know this was happening) and asked for information without calling anyone a filthy name. I know, from my stint as co-hosts of a group, polite queries and lack of filthy name-calling really make a co-host feel more like replying; especially, most especially, when coupled with a good reason for the query even existing. Anyway, I did very much appreciate the response. It was mature, responsible, friendly, but not overly apologetic: very good response for a host of a group. Thank you ADAWG, you lovely beings, for the feature, and thank you All Things Orange for putting up with me, too. lol

Hello everyone, / Currently I participated in a group art exhibition at the local gallery amongst other 12 artists. The artist were to interpret the “Between The Line” theme and here is a little excerpt from the web: “Our news never tell us the whole truth. Our politicians veil their threats. Our friends are too polite with us. When we criticise, we choose the sweetest words. When we confess our feelings, we drop hints instead. So many things we don’t dare say aloud, or don’t know how to. Religion. Race. Politics. Sex. Desires. Love. So we are left to expressing ourselves in between the lines.” My theme for the artworks revolve around love and relationship and below are the results. Have a view and there are 2 more pieces left and waiting for their new owner :). For interested buyer, kindly contact me (i.itch.illustrations@gmail.com) for the price list and shipping arrangement. / Thank you and enjoy!
