Lila - The Play of Creation
by PrasadAt the end of the night of time all things return to my nature; and when the new day of time begins I bring them again to light. Thus …
We live in a miraculous and mysterious universe, that has been a quest for all great sages for the ages :) Still the quest is unresolved, even Einstein’s equations do not provide unique answer. They allow several different solutions corresponding to different models of universe. The idea of a periodically oscillating universe which involves scale of time & space has not only arisen in modern cosmology but also in ancient traditional Indian culture. Experiencing the universe as an organic and rhythmically moving cosmos, the Hindus were able to develop evolutionary cosmologies which came very close to modern scientific models, today. Based on the Hindu myth Lila – The divine play in which the Brahman transforms himself into the world. Lila is the rhythmic play which goes on endless cycles, the ONE becoming the MANY and the MANY returning into the ONE. In Bhagavad Gita – Lord Krishna describes this rhythmic play of creation. I just found to spread this thought and my recent photograph When silence breaks out #3, to share with you all here. Have a thoughtful time ahead.

Some of the lilies are edible even such as Lilium bulbiferous ’Orange lily’ - its bulbs are edible tasting sweet and mealy; these lilies make very fair eating and can be used as a substitute to potato!! Other lilies have medicinal properties such as Lilium candidum ’Madonna lily’ - its bulb is employed for medicinal purposes, having highly demulcent and also astringent properties.
