I found this beautiful patch of lilies outside of the local / prison. It was ironic to see the barbed wire fence just beyond them in the distance. Made me terribly grateful to be standing at that spot-at that moment.. / / / >Featured< in the group: United States / /

The idea came from a time when I was drawing some Arum lilies. Halfway through drawing I had a coffee break. Walking back into my studio I discovered my cat had destroyed the leaves and had pulled the flowers out of the vase.

...These most recent pieces (my best work yet) reflect how I choose to view myself, life and everything it ‘that is’...!! I would describe life in the same way I do myself…. a mess… but a BEAUTIFUL one!!! ...These latest pieces would not have been brought to life without the inspiration of my BEST friend. She not only inspired this latest work but the title for this piece too! =)
