Tried a new effect on this tiger lily…
For this piece I used a combination of Rembrandt pastel sticks and CarbOthello pastel pencils, I like using very vivid colors with some contrasting tones to capture this beauty. I was very interested in the shadow on the lily pad and I really was attracted to the fluidness and motion of the petals as it stood alert and proud on its pad. The roots in the water (upper left corner) is to me, like its life system, it shows strength and support.
