This piece was one of the very first of the flower series. I chose this because at the time, I was very fascinated with the composition as well as the interesting lilypads surround this powerful flower in its prime. I like to use a combination of Rembrandt pastel sticks and CarbOthello pastel pencils when creating this pastel painting, and I used very vivid colors in the background to contrast with the white petals of this beauty. This piece won the “Member’s Choice” award at EBSQart.com.

This piece has been painted with acrylic paints and inks by hand to produce a bold piece.

A pale peach coloured waterlily in the pond. I’ve deliberately left a black border to accentuate the paper. Order on black background for the best result.

These unusually colored cala lilies were photographed and transformed with photoshop paint daub filter. It was the first attempt my 8 year old son made at doing special effects on photography.
