Irises by the river Oulujoki in Finland.
Frilly, flouncy irises always make me think of dancers so when I was trying to decide a name for this one, “Showdance” popped into my head! Watercolour on paper.
A photgraph I took early one morning, tweaked in PS. I was struggling with a name when ‘Lilac Wine’ popped into my head, a song by Elkie Brooks I think..

The only change on the Lilac Bridge was the color. The bridge was taken at Lakes Park in Ft. Myers, FL., with my Nikon Coolpix P80 camera.
