I was inspired this morning after reading and commenting on Julie Langford’s Post. It made me remember that sometimes the journey – the people you meet, the things you learn along the way – is more important than the destination. So despite the bitter frosty morning I rugged myself up (two thermals are better than one) and set out to greet nature and the day with Sami and my trusty tripod in tow. Turns out The Day had advance warning from Nature that I was coming (I think it was the blue wren who visits me that let the secret out)... and together they turned on an absolutely gorgeous – albeit bloody freezing – show. This is most likely the easiest image I have ever had in post production, the only enhancement it has had is a slight vignette added. For the mist gently rising off the water… the glorious colour… the frost on the reeds… the delicate reflections… the beautiful ray of illuminating light… I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Nature and The Day. We found a pink girly bike on the side of that road on the way to this shoot so naturally it was added to the already huge pile of random stuff in the boot. I jumped in the pool with these crazy musicians and kept handing them props and directing them to complete various acts of underwater stupidity. James managed to stay dry by offering to operate the camera through a viewing window. I also shot some film with an underwater camera but I’ve been really slack and haven’t developed it yet. If I’m lucky, being in the hot car for this long will have screwed it up a bit and I’ll get magical surprises when I finally make some prints. models: Jase and Tom www.joobrien.com

the flow, the current of things growing and changing. / what’s more beautiful than getting to watch it?
Yes I know what you’re all thinking…It’s ANOTHER PET DOG!!!!! Don’t panic you arty farty types…it’s only up for a limited time whilst I make some cards for a friends present. Then it will be strictly back to black polo necks and matching berets. Ciao baby. Postscript (Wow I literally just uplaoded this to make cards for a friends birthday. I had no idea people would comment on it! I feel compelled to point out – as those who know me understand – my humour is very dry and ironic. Don’t take anything I say seriously! Except for my Africa pics and this word – thanks…) :) I MIGHT ADD IF ANYONE WANTS TO BUY IT-GO ON, ON YA, YEAH NOW AND THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! COLLECT THE SET!!
So this one’s more on the Halloween side of designs? / I guess. well anyway it’s based off of one of my character’s off RandomVeus. / It’s this transparent bean-like character. anyway here it is. the brain was fun to draw out. Chamba’s Personal colour picks: / Black / asphalt / army / Forest / Navy

I shot this on digital, which I’m now ashamed off, but there is no post production at least. That figure is my old flatmate, good friend, and occasional crazy project partner, Crispy DeVille, down in Sorrento somewhere. I think almost all of us jumped off but he was the only one who did it with any grace.
I would like to thank Richard ( justimagine ) for letting use his image Summers eve http://www.redbubble.com/people/justimagine/art/1475895-1-summers-eve Thanks so much mate hope you like it.
This image was captured at Marsaxlokk, a quaint little fishing village in Malta. The water was a little murky and kind of greasy, no doubt caused by the diesel from the boats. This has probably caused the paint-like effect that seems prelevant in this image. I tweaked the brightness and colour saturation in photoshop but otherwise this picture is pretty much as is! It was a sunny day and that helped the colours to come out nicely..
Met the wonderful Deepbluwater in LA, and not only did she organize this whole shoot in my, ‘dream home’ as far as interior design goes, but also modeled for me in the most perfect of ways. Huge thank you for making this concept come alive in such a perfectly designed environment and for such an amazing day! Heartfelt thanks!
After flooding my PF with my recent Tas. collection…It’s good to be back home taking shots in my backyard again. I never tire of this area as every day is always different with the changing seasons and moods of the weather.. / Mornington Peninsula ~ Victoria ~ Aus….thanks for having a look and best rgs, Rob.
