Infinite future chaos – “whats that?” i here you say, / its the way we shape our future by how we live today, / the way we live our lives has a knock on effect, / we should give this world of ours some love and respect. Freak weather, wars, global warming, hurricanes and nature dying, / destruction, rainforests dissapearing, children starving, children crying, / riots, warfare, guns, chemical waste, nuclear bombs and anarchy, / extinction of animals, genetics, clones, who is it down to, powers that be?. Just think of our children, how will they survive, what will they see?, / lets all make changes so they can be happy and free, / who knows what the future holds but its down to me and you, / im just thankful i wont be around and bet that you are too.
Tried something a little different for this one. I positioned the headlights from my truck to shine on the road hoping to get some extra light on the land. / This was a 45s exposure.

Storms are intense…sometimes they are dark gloomy and ugly… but this picture suggests otherwise.
walked down towards president to escape the bright lights, as you can see by the darker ocean compared to lights of surfers and out to sea. View more of my storm images / / Storms
An unusual autumn storm gave me a dramatic back drop for the Brisbane Story Bridge with pink lights during breast cancer awareness week.
One of my most dramatic and colourful lightning pictures taken in Sydney many years ago. The storm moved slowly across the Eastern suburbs and put out many spectacular bolts of lightning. However, only one or two occurred on “my” side of the storm and in full view!
We had a rare thunderstorm in Lebanon yesterday night and I took some shots. This one is take from “Ain Saade”, a village about 600meters above sea level from my balcony. the city that you can see is Beirut, Lebanon’s capital. My camera was secured on a tripod and each exposure was about 25 to 30seconds with white balance set to tungsten to compensate for light pollution of the city. This one is a combination of 3 shots each having 1 to 3 bolts in different places and merged in Photoshop using the “lighten” blending mode. After that mainly S-curves to increase contrast. If interested you can check this tutorial for tips about thunder photography . This is the second shot I got, poor Mel was in the middle of a battery change when I got this one! I almost lost this shot, trying to delete the dud photos I accidentally deleted this one, I almost cried. Thankfully I found some recovery software on line and managed to get it back :)

An incredible thunderstorm builds over Sydney / Note the helicopter that flew into the right of shot! Shot from my backyard in the Blue Mountains. VIEW LARGE FOR MAXIMUM OPTICAL PLEASURE!
The lightning to me looks like a stylised dragon gazing covetously over its hoard of gold – hm, wonder what was in that coffee. Taken a few minutes before Light Arch The lights are Sydney from the CBD to the eastern suburbs and then south. Canon 1Ds MkIII / Tv: 30secs / Av: f/5 / ISO: 200 / FL: 55mm but then pano cropped
This is a cropped version of the original. I wanted to see more detail in the strikes! MUST VIEW LARGE!
