  • This is an original graphic art design.

  • This is a photo of a boat house and dock. In the top right corner, you can see a flash of light. That is actually lightning from a heat storm. As abundant as the lightning was, it was difficult to capture with the camera. Good thing my camera had a multi shot setting!

  • Late evening in the Southern Mallee. On a country road a rain cloud is unloading what it has collected during the warm day. Lightning flashes can been seen every now and then following the cloud and hitting the ground.

  • A hot summers day in the southern Mallee sees the development of a masive system of thunderstorms. Sitting almost stationary they unload the moisture they have collected during the day. Up on a high hill I witnessed this massive shaft of rain with strong out flow winds and spectacular lightning. Was truly an awesome sight.

  • A storm near Kalispell, Montana on a cross-country drive back to California. I was told the storm resembled that of a tornado, I’m not sure, but there was a lot of noise that night. The yellow streaks at the bottom are car lights, in case you were wondering. Blog / Email Me / Galleries

  • This piece is an impressionist look at one moment in a thunderstorm. Lightning flashes across the sky and adds illumination to the proverbial dark and stormy night. This piece is based on those Louisiana storms that slip in and surprise us. The largest sizes of this piece would seem somewhat abstract on close examination. Step back, and it all comes together. It would lend an interesting effect in a large room.

  • Hello…. and thank you for visiting my art! This is a 16 X 20 oil on canvas painting. It started as a value study. I then used a tint and glaze to finish. • Squeeeeeeeze. *Important note for potential buyers: be aware that this is flat image and does not take into account the natural curvature of the material when placed on us humans – the edges of the design will sit further round towards the sides when it’s actually being worn. Copyright 2008.

  • every couple of months the local council needs to clean out the ocean pools on my local beach and to do that they bring in heavy earth moving equipment like this big digger. It’s a remarkable thing to be able to sit for a while and watch them work the sand with these huge things and it often takes them a couple of days to complete the work. Anyway I was coming home very late one day last week and I spied the big digger parked on the sand under the big yellow lights of the deserted carpark and it just looked so amazing I had to swing into the carpark and take a few shots. Now I had a camera about my person but no tripod and as it was quite a long exposure it’s a bit fuzzy and out of focus… but still I was just lucky enough to shoot this just as there was a little blast of light and drama far out to sea….. so big cat on the beach with a tiny bit of distant lightning to make up for the wonky wobbles of the photographer…. next time council parks this thing overnight on the sands… I aim to be sober and in possesion of a tripod…. promise….:) / . /

  • I’ve always liked taking photos of oil seed rape fields and as a lover of dramatic skies I just had to take this shot as the sky was amazing. You can see the rain pouring down at the horizon and it soon made it’s way over to my side of the field too. I love a good storm

  • This is a series of vector works for an upcoming exhibition – “Sights and Sounds” at Sunset Winery on Sep 26th. The exhibition is loosely based on film and music, hence the name, and I thought I would do a vector series that tries to visualize music. In this fifth and final piece of the MUSICALITY series, the music is ending and the woman has become the music. Her ego and self have disappeared, and she is one with the MUSICALITY… The End! See it bigger here (click on the image to make it bigger) “MUSICALITY – THE BEGINNING” “MUSICALITY – 1st and 2nd VERSES” “MUSICALITY – THE CHORUS” “MUSICALITY – 4th and 5th VERSES” “MUSICALITY – THE END”
