  • This image was taken around the same time that my other lightning pic from marino was. Same setup etc, just different exposure. This photo took 249 seconds to expose, and was one of the most beautiful lightning theatrical productions presented by mother nature herself that i’d EVER seen.

  • A Thunderstorm out at sea just off the Fremantle coast. Sunday May 31 2009. EOS 500D, 30 second exposure.

  • A thunderstorm approaches an Akha village on the Lao-China border in far north Laos. The villagers beat pots and pans and fired their muzzle-loading rifles to drive the storm away. Taken with a Nikon FM2, kodachrome slide film and an exposure of several minutes. No digital manipulation; this is a straight scan of the original slide.
