  • On the planet Marshalis stands a lighthouse with an amazing history. Thousands of years ago at the start of the 2000 year war the planet was attacked by Scavengers from the deeps of space, and it is told that the king in that time sailed with his fleet to get help. Legends say he sailed off the edge of the world,it may be a myth or just a story, but his subjects raised a Tower of Light to show him the way back. So for thousands of years there as always been a light on this point of land at the edge of the world. From Zorinds “Myths and Legends of the Cosmos” 1324th edition, human translation.

  • MUCH BETTER VIEWED LARGER ThankYou For dropping in and viewing my latest work, for those who Favourite I am Honoured The roadside Pearsons Lookout, on the Castlereagh Highway just south of Capertee village, gives a view over the expansive Capertee Valley / Surrounded by the wonders of World Heritage listed wilderness, the Capertee valley is the world’s second largest canyon. Capertee is 1 kilometre longer than the Grand Canyon, but not quite as deep. Sandstone cliffs dominate the escarpment, drawing down into a deep chasm carved into the environment over millions of years. With tranquil vistas and serene mountain landscapes the Capertee Valley is abundant in flora and wildlife. Under the sandstone layer stretches an enormous layer of coal and oil shale. Rising majestically out of the valley floor is a monolith in size and spectacle. The impressive peak, Pantoney’s Crown, beckons the keen walker to climb its summit. From the top a 360° panorama, of the dramatic and breathtaking valley. The Capertee valley is located in The Gardens Of Stone National Park The Blue Mountains if a World Heritage Area , a few hours by road west of Sydney and are a must when visiting Sydney. Equipment: Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200mm lens Technique: GET UP WAY TOO EARLY take 5 bracketted images then run it through Photomatix Pro. Then tidy up image lightly in Capture NX. • THIS IS A BIG IMAGE VIEW LARGER FOR BEST RESULTS Isnt it a buzz when you get that perfect light, the shades of day as it is born, as the first rays light up an already magnificent view ? For those viewing, commenting and favouriting if i’m lucky thank you This shot was taken from Echo Point in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area at dawn, it was created from 5 bracketed images using a Nikon D300 fitted with a Nikon 18-200mm. No filters were used. The image was taken at sunrise certainly a great view. The Blue Mountains are located 2 hours west of Sydney by road, also by train for visitors to Sydney, there are also organised day trips via motor coach that will take you to the area for the day…. though if you have the time spend a few days in the area. You can see all the attractions, have a devonshire tea in one of the many teahouses, or sit on the edge of the valley that seems to go on forever, and listen to the birdlife. Bushwalking is a must ! • A young friend of mine, invited me to a music assembly at her school. The assembly was to celebrate several people through history that have contributed to the music world. Most of the students had red t-shirts on and there were several different color lights on stage. The children moved around on stage and down in front of the stage. I thought this would be a good time to use, the panning of the camera.
