The ferris wheel is mounted on the pier and the Pepsi Max Big One roller Coaster, once the highest in the world can be seen in the distance at Blackpool Pleasure beach. One of a sequence that has had no manipulation in colour. This is how the shot came back from the printers…….(loss of) colour due to leaving the film on the dashboard of the car in full sunlight prior to developing.   • Taken a few miles east of Leicester, near Allexton. Its that time in the UK, just before the wheat gets harvested – heavy heads beginning to nod gently under the weight of the grain, and the weather unable to decide whether it is summer or not, threatening to flatten the crop, just it is ready. Leicestershire is full of distant horizons like this, and the Barley is all but in now, much of the ground already having been put under the plough in readiness for the next crop.

  • This shot was the main centre-spread of a feature I recently had published in Tokyo’s ‘Metropolis’ magazine. It has also featured recently in mags in Australia, Singapore and Poland. To beging with the guy hanging out of the window spotted me and then just wouldnt lean out again. I attached my camera to a 10ft monopod, put a cable-release on and held the camera out with an 11mm lens on it. He thought I had walked off and I still got exactly the angle I wanted….
