I did this for a quick coloring of bw thread on opacity use in ps. I used 7% opacity on bw photo to paint the pink in the center. The camera was the Nikon Coolpix LC4 a point and click. Post production was Photoshop I resized it to 3840×2880 pixels the magic ratio to get large images here at RB. I removed the color and then painted the center and expressed above

BEST VIEWED FULL SIZE! Trying to get as close as I could to the true color of this little carnation while still obtaining a fun, dramatic play of light and shadow and a loooooong dof with decent detail. Image taken with the Nikon D40x with the 60mm Nikon macro lens … and the (hated) tripod. Shutter speed at 3, f/36, exposure at 0.00, light source tungsten, flash off, iso 400. Only post processing was removing some dots that seem to have set up residence INSIDE my poor camera. Anybody got any good ideas on how to make them go away???

Today when I went for my walk I picked some weeds for a photo shoot. I turned out the lights and lit a candle beneath the weeds to create the warm golden glow for this photo. Natural color and light, I softened the image using photoshop. Taken 11/11/09 in my kitchen!
