I was captivated by the way light was creating shadows. The lines in the scene were also interesting. I was pleased when I downloaded the photo to see that I captured what I was after. I know this will make a very dramatic statement on your wall. I can’t wait to hang it on mine.

River and I came upon these working barns right after the sun was up. The cows were still asleep. River tiptoed around, didn’t want to wake them up. :)

When we took these photo’s, we were merely having fun. But now looking back on these pics, this one caught my attention. Its not a spectacular piece of photography and the photo was actually a mistake. We were both trying to spin around together and take a focused photo but i had forgotten to zoom out, and so this photo came about… Its me and my best friend and the joy in this photo just makes it so special. To everybody else it may seem like a another snap shot but for me its, a special moment caught on camera of two friends, simply having fun together, a touching moment that is rare to find. (p.S…. my friend will kill me after she sees this! (: ) Now for the title (sorry there is always a story…) My nickname is Cherry cos i blush often and deep red and so my best guy friend now calls me that and i just love cherries!... so after watching My Sisters Keeper (a beautiful heart wrenching movie! – watch it if you can, u won’t take life for granted after it ) i immediatly got the stunning soundtrack to discover this song, Life is like a bowl of cherries... The lyrics describe the photo as well as how i see life, its a song describing me i guess… and well the cherry part was just a coiincidence! People are queer, they’re always crowing, scrambling and rushing about; / Why don’t they stop someday, address themselves this way? / Why are we here? Where are we going? It’s time that we found out. / We’re not here to stay; we’re on a short holiday Life is just a bowl of cherries. / Don’t take it serious; life’s so mysterious. / You work, you save, you worry so, / But you can’t take your dough when you go, go, go. / So keep repeating it’s the berries, / The strongest oak must fall, / The sweet things in life, to you were just loaned / So how can you lose what you’ve never owned? / Life is just a bowl of cherries, / So live and laugh at it all Life is just a bowl of cherries. / Don’t take it serious; it’s too mysterious. / At eight each morning I have got a date, / To take my plunge ‘round the Empire State. / You’ll admit it’s not the berries, / In a building that’s so tall; / There’s a guy in the show, the girls love to kiss; / Get thousands a week just for crooning like this: / Life is just a bowl of . . . aw, nuts! / So live and laugh at it all!
