I believe this is outside Turpan, China
Peach rose bouquet and pearls illuminated by soft lighting.
I strive to touch the light, / yet fall short each time. See a modified and rather jocular version of this – I chase it here, I chase it there, that damned elusive red bubble
Another shot from my ‘lilies on the dam’ !! Taken last weekend…
I cannot resist either a forest pic or a mountain pic … tonight I chose the morning in the forest …
Feather shot against a reflective white background to add soft shadows to the image.

A huge thankyou to Judi Taylor / for writing this wondrous piece which matches perfectly….. I felt alone / scared / ashamed No one should ever feel like this. I was REACHING … A voice inside me cried ENOUGH / No more pain / no more sorrow / no more self pity And I start to look beyond me REACHING … I said a prayer / Spoke to a friend / and wiped away my tears. Suddenly I was not alone / the fear was gone / I was glowing And as the Universe expanded / for a few moments / it belonged to me I was surrounded by its REACHING ~~ Judi Taylor 2009

This image is straight out of the camera taken today by me while teaching a class on exposure. I made a lightbox out of materials that you could find at home. Lit on both sides by lamps diffused through tracing paper. The students practiced applying different exposures and white balance settings to their images. The students were very excited and all left the class vowing to go home and make their own lightbox!! For more information on classes – Red Door Creative / / (c) Sarah Moore 2009
Battlefield Orchards field and tree filled hill in Autumn. / Freehold, New Jersey / Oct 2009 / Nikon D80 w/ 24-120mm VR
Simon and I decided to go and have a walk at Dunwich Heath and see how the trees and bracken had changed as Autumn was upon us and we had not been that time of year. / The weather was again in our favour, warm, blue sky and odd fluffy cloud and wonderful gentle light. I loved how the light was just shinning on the frons of this bracken leaf and just had to capture it. Nikon D90 and 18-105vr lens / focal length 105mm / F/. 5.6 / exposure 1/100 sec and – 1step / ISO 200 hand held, Aperture Priority, very slight level tweak only in photshop CS2
