a world in which even the purest of angels struggle with the Infinite Future Chaos contained in all of us as the world is plunged into turmoil / / / photoshop creative entry =]
Every now and then when I feel a bit stuck for good single shot inspiration, I like to create something odd. This image was the result of one such time…
Taken in January 2005, just south of Perth, Scotland. I looked out the window here late one evening to see a “cloud” of luminous green oriented downwards – “that’s no cloud!” and 5mins later I was a couple of miles away in the middle of nowhere on the road south of Moncrieffe Hill, admiring the pretty greens and reds :)

Well, it isn’t at all. It’s that scary forest that frightend me, so I don’t know why I can’t stop looking at the shots I took of it – they’re enough to give me nightmares.
Photomanipulation created in Photoshop CS2. I hope this encourages you! This baby fawn has been hanging around in my back yard for a couple months now. Finally got a picture of her! She is so beautiful I had to incorporate her into one of my pieces. I hope she finds her family soon because she is always wandering around alone. It started with photographed street lights in foggy darkness and modified using the liquefy tool. Subsequently layered with elements from several other photographs, some of which were also “liquefied”, and shapes and textures that were Photoshop -generated. It involved 31 layers in hue, overlay, lighten, pin, linear and hard lights, multiply, exclusion, difference, colour, screen and normal modes. Criticism always welcome.

These Boots Were Made For Walking / Timberland Boots. An artist / photographer can find inspiration from everyday objects all around him. If we look at light and colour, shape and form, utility and presence, we’ll not go far wrong. Open your eyes and you’ll see artisitic opportunities all around you. Photo Manipulation For this image, I took several shots of the boots at different exposures, HDR in Photomatrix Pro, then some layering work in Elements with two seperate textures of wood. The floor is my hallway andthe boots belong to Junior, my Son-in-law. Copied the original background layer, did a colour overlay, blurred, then some dodging and burning and eraser work to reveal more of the boots through the textures. That’s it, simples really:-) LOL. Notre Dame, Paris, capital of France. Another shot in my Notre Dame series. The original photo has been in my folio since I started on RedBubble, but was never that popular, so I gave it a make over! Original photo has been layered twice, with two separate textures layered over as well, with colour adjustments, slight tweaking of brightness and lowering of contrast.
