I just couldn’t stop taking photos of tulips in London this spring. The day was warm and sunny and the displays in so many gardens just beautiful.

Tower Bridge has stood over the River Thames in London since 1894 and is one of the finest, most recognisable bridges in the World. Tower Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, England over the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, which gives it its name. It has become an iconic symbol of London and is sometimes mistakenly called London Bridge, though London Bridge is in fact the next bridge upstream. Tower Bridge is owned and maintained by Bridge House Estates, a charitable trust overseen by the Corporation of London.

I was intending to capture the light trails from the double decker bus all the way through the image – but my timing was a little off – I perhaps should have gone for a small aperture/longer shutter speed. Still, I like the effect of it ending in the middle of nowhere – it gives me the impression of “Back to the Future” – but in a double decker!
Original is on 36” x 24” Canvas (Best viewed large) And is for sale on my own Art Gallery Online

I took this shot in the Stoke Poges memorial gardens which is in Buckinghamshire. The grounds are beautifully set out as a final resting place for your ashes. I love the way the single flower here looks like a guiding light or a bright beacon to attract the creatures from the pond to it and also the way the blue sky is reflecting on the surface of the water. this is a combination manip/painting / I’ve been working on this for a couple of weeks – a little each night. I tried to add a lot more depth and light from the wet street. More shadows too….I wanted it to be modern – yet at the same time, have a long ago feeling. Does that make sense? / I didn’t want it completely straight either – meaning I wanted a tad of the impressionistic style. I got tired at the end – and my brush strokes got a bit sloppy at the top…but I went back and tried to make it better. I made this for a fried of mine who loves England…. / (a birthday present). Captured at around 5.00am from Westminster Bridge, it had just stopped raining and Big Ben looked beautiful. Ha ha, I’ve just gotten outta bed, and noticed that the clock actually tells the time, just after quarter past five in the morning. It was worth it though:-) LOL. Also the real name is St Stephen’s Tower, Big Ben is the Bell. A wave crashes the London Arch, on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia, at sunrise. This was taken at the end of autumn on a very cloudy morning. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera, 18-55mm lens and a tripod. I sold a large framed print (walnut and on red bubble) to my kind sister, Nadia, that she bought as a house warming and birthday present for a lucky friend. Thanks so much Nadia.
