  • I love genealogy and occasionally search for serviceman’s records for friends and family. A recent search I did for a friend of mine inspired me to put this together, using some of the objects around the house. The well-known Christmas 1914 tin belonged to my husband’s geat uncle. The photo and service record in the picture are from my great great grand uncle.

  • Dedicated volunteers keeping the proud tradition alive in SE Queensland.

  • Taken at an in-door training session at Gatton, Queensland, one of the 2nd Troop Lighthorsemen.

  • Self explanatory really, simply the other end of the 2nd Lighthorse troop from Gatton.

  • A drawing of one of the men in a photo of my grandfather’s Lighthorse Brigade in Egypt during WW1.
