This is Sunrise over The Remarkables range in Queenstown, New Zealand. Initially it looked as car comming up the mountain. I have a shot with a Sun pocking out but prefer this one. Both shots were taken as is and then I combined the two in photoshop. The cross can be seen in Groom, Texas. I caught the sky like this in a separate shot. Both shots I used my Canon EOS, Rebel XT Camera. I just love how this came out.

My grand daughter Kolleen, as my white light. This was all her idea. Last night at 10PM she decides she is going to do my living room in sheer curtains< for clouds> and dress in white and be an angel. I just had to shoot = ) Not quite that simple but she was happy = ) I hope you enjoy my White Light. Hugs Vonne
This shot was taken this morning before work … I was up early and headed for the woods again, but seeing that I’ve finally figured out how to get to the Deer Sanctuary, I decided to go & have a look … ... and I was in luck!! / The light was golden, the air was hazy and dreamy from the night’s slumber … and the deer were visible from the fence !!! :)) What a delight! The sanctuary is not actually accessible, so I wandered along the fence, looking for good vantage points, trying hard to get clear shots through the tight mesh fence! Walk 4 tells you a bit more about the area ... and to think that an hour and a half after taking this shot I was sat at my desk in the square mile of London, processing applications for financial failure insurance … 29 September 2009 / EOS 450D, f/5.6 @ 135 mm, 1/30, ISO 100
Rota Island / Northern Mariana Islands Here you will find palm fringed beaches with virtually no one around, unbelievable diving, pristine waters and incredible volcanic formations. Located along the Marianas Trench which is the deepest known part of the world’s oceans, and the deepest location on the surface of the Earth’s crust. / The trench is about 2,550 kilometres (1,580 mi) long but has a mean width of only 69 kilometres (43 mi). It reaches a maximum depth of about 11,034 metres (36,200 ft) at the Challenger Deep, a small slot-shaped valley in its floor, at its southern end. Life on this island is friendly and unhurried and the hospitality is as unforgettable as the magical sunsets. Rota Island is a natural playground with around 3000 inhabitants and is known by many to be Micronesia’s best-kept secret Rota (Chamoru: Luta) also known as the “peaceful island”, is the southernmost island of the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and the second southernmost of the Marianas Archipelago. It lies approximately 40 miles north-northeast of the United States territory of Guam. Songsong village is the largest and most populated followed by Sinapalo village (Sinapalu). In 1521, the first European to see Rota, was the lookout on Magellan’s ship Victoria, Lope Navarro. However, Magellan’s Armada of three ships didn’t stop until they reached Guam, so the first European to arrive in Rota (in 1524), was Spanish navigator Juan Sebastian Elcano, who annexed it together with the rest of the Marianas Archipelago on behalf of the Crown of Spain.
