Ok, I admit, I made it rain on the poor spider’s home. Not only did I chase it, but I flooded it’s home with water from spray bottle. I couldn’t wait for the real rain to fall, in case the spider’s web disappeared. All I’ve done to the image is brighten it up and place a slight little frame around bottom edge.

I wanted to capture the steam flowing upward to the colder fall air.. The big Koi pond holds its heat longer than the others so this provided a chance to see the sun rays passing through it’s morning awake.. Resized 12-13-2007 / So proud of Kathy on this capture.. Mother Earth Does Breathe

Taken halfway between Hilversum and Lage Vuursche in the Netherlands on one of the most beautiful cycling paths in the forests around here! Near HIlversum, 14th November 2007, 9.55 am / Nikon D 80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 112 mm / F 16, 1/60, ISO 400 Featured in “Shots in the Fog”.

A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

This was taken at the downtown loft where my church college group meets. On this day we were tearing down walls to make more room. If I’d taken a picture slightly to the left, you’d see mounds of insulation, drywall, wiring and 2×4s littering the room. It was a huge mess – hence the dust creating the wonderful effect near the window.

A storm had just passed over Watkins Glen and the warm sun was breaking through the misty air in the glen. Watkins Glen State Park is located in the Finger Lakes region of New York, at the southern end of Seneca Lake. This image was captured with a Canon EOS DSLR / Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens. The focal length was 21mm, ISO was set at 400 with an f/8 aperture and shutter speed of 1/30 sec. Best on Full Size This image is of the Patuxent River, just up from the Triadelphia Reservoir and Brighton Dam in Montgomery County, Maryland. This was taken on the same day as Autumn Picnic on the Hill , and is the view from just beyond the tree and picnic tables seen there. Hand held image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens with uv and cp filters. HDR image created in Photomatix from a single image duplicated to evals +/-2 in Photoshop. Shutter speed was 1/125, aperture f/10.0, exp 0.00 and iso 500.
