WILD & FREE / / South Georgia is one amazing island that you all must try to get to, if you don’t mind four days in rough seas on a boat that is!!! But it is truly worth it…. This image was taken at a place called “Salisbury Plain”, where there are approximately 250 000 penguins! The sound as you come over the hill is tremendous, not to mention the smell!! Cusco, Peru’ ! / While walking in Cusco a few days ago I met this little girl, Flor, and her sister Yolanda ! I had already taken a picture of them last year ” Flor y Yolanda ” and when I showed them a copy of the photo.. they were so impressed that they asked me to take more pictures. This is just one of the many I took ! She is so confident and loves to be photographed !!! I love this picture for the way she poses here, the way she smiles, her spontaneity.. and the beautiful contrast of colors !!!

Cusco, Perú !!! / This is one of the first shot I took in Cusco this year !!! / I had just arrived and I was feeling a bit strange and not really in the mood to take pictures of people.. I was maybe thinking about life a bit too much ! / But when she passed by I said something funny to her and pressed the bottom !! / I´m glad i did !

This was taken at a dam in Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills, Australia in winter at dawn. We don’t get any snow in Adelaide, as our summers are very hot. There is still some fog around on the water. This is pure bliss to me. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera, on a tripod. This was taken because of the mood created with the fog, the winter sunlight lighting up the boat and the 3 waterfowl swimming in the opposite direction to the boat.

Back to my favourite spot to catch first light reflecting off of the Causeway beams. As the sun rises this side of the Causeway is often highlighted, showing the features and grain of the timbers. The Causeway joins the Victor Harbor mainland with Granite Island. As many of you know this spot is a regular of mine as many years ago we followed my fathers wishes and spread his ashes alongside this structure, his favourite fishing spot!!! Quite a bold and stormy sky in the background for this one which seems to complement the foreground highlights. Canon 400D, HDR – 2 shot merge in Photomatix.

I took this picture in the bus that was taking me from Jujuy ( north of Argentina ) to La Quiaca, at the border with Bolivia ! This child was sitting just next to me. / Loved the way his father was looking after him, although he fell asleep more than once leaving the little child curiously looking around when at some point he stared at me for so long that I had the time to get my camera and take this picture !

Late afternoon at Port Willunga South Australia. Looking out towards the setting sun through the remains of the Old Jetty structure. Not overly sure about the colours here, strange evening with orange red clouds and just dark enough to get a slight amount of motion in the foreground. Canon 400D, 18 -55 lens, CIR Polarising filter coupled with an ND4. Wet legs and a wet tripod, standing out in the water trying to avoid waves!!!!!!
