Glowing candles, corn candy and colorful leaves reflecting on a mirror.
I like this image because it is one of those types of pictures where the mood of the picture changes depending on where you focus. If I focus on the darkness just above the water this picture is a little creepy and unsettling. If I focus on the light to the left of the bright blue it is just peaceful and if I look at the moon it is ethereal and unreal and calm.
The story is told of a little girl who was lost in thought as she gazed in wonder at the magnificent stained glass windows in a huge cathedral. When she came out of her reverie, she exclaimed, “Now I know what a saint is. It’s a person who lets the Light shine through.” November 1 is All Saints’ Day, and for those who celebrate it, this might be a fitting card to share with loved ones.
Title stolen from a Switchfoot song, but not an original idea… Enjoy!

. / .. / ... There’s a saying, ” It’s better to light ONE Candle than cursing the darkness”. I got it from a Fortune Cookie, maybe. :-) ... / .. / .

This is a subject – leaves – that is “intriguing me very much in the last time. It’s poetic, in the deepest meaing of the word – leaves tell about nature and discovering of the thousands small, even tiny details you can find inside them … lines, shadows, lights, folds, nerves, transparencies, traces of dance, life, colours, textures, sharpness and warmth … / I love the endless possibilities of looking at this subject with – I hope – a little bit “different” eyes …. / thank you very much for stopping by :-)
