  • I’m not a beach person, never have been, but after reading Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s Gift from the Sea which was written on Sanibel/Captiva Island, Florida, I had a strong urge to go there. My husband and I took a belated 37th wedding anniversary trip to the islands which we thoroughly enjoyed. The sunrises and sunsets were a joyous sight for us, and this photo which I’ve titled “Last Light” is among my favorites as it symbolizes the way people cling to the last rays of light on the beach, squeezing in every available moment at the seashore. The area in the distance was a gathering place for fishermen who continued to cast till they could see no more.

  • Taken at the B&B in the wondrously green hills of VT, just before the sun went behind the hills. Touched up some. Enjoy!

  • Even a cracked beauty like this one looks like an exquisite jewel…it just depends on how you see it…

  • A perfect setting; a perfect orchid. A natural fractal. / No artificial lighting, no color changes; as is from the camera. I’ve been watching this orchid year after year as I’ve gone to physical therapy, and it only get prettier. Finally I remembered to take my good camera and get a good pic. The natural lighting was that of a washed-clean winter day, whose skies had cleared and were crystal clear.

  • Forlorn Gaze Brisbane Emo Scene Sensation: Forlorn Gaze. Shot on location whilst they were filming their new TV Pilot. / I encourage everyone to take a look at their myspace. (They are a parody group!) I don’t normally do ‘Band’ or ‘Music’ photography, but these guys were fierce posers!

  • It was almost too cloudy, that evening, but I stayed & am so glad I did, because when the sun broke through the clouds, it lit up the sky. Taken at Robert Rees Park, New Port Richey, FL.

  • On a gravel road, waiting for a car to pass for a long time, while the sun is getting lower and lower!! Picture of the sun’s rays reflecting off the the dust particles

  • “In every walk with nature one receives / far more than he seeks”. / John Muir This shot was taken from Tunnel View, Yosemite National Park, California last month as the sun was just starting to set. It felt as though magic was happening right before my eyes. Olympus SP-550 UZ
