Sometimes even mistakes can turn out right. Here I woke up really early, way too early as I misjudged the time for a sunrise. So for an hour or so I was just waiting for the light. As the moon descended this opportunity arouse. This shot is taken at a point where on one side of the beach you can see east and watch the sunrise and basically just turn around and face west and watch the moon set. At this point the resort was abandoned, hence the chair. I only moved it slightly to improve the composition. Photo Taken: 04-Jan-2007 / Time: Early, somewhere between 5 and 6am / Conditions: Calm, really beautiful / / / / / / / Some other seascape art: / / / / / / /
I’ve bought six new IKEA glasses but one of them got broken when I washed it for the first time. Of course, I wouldn’t just throw it away, as well as my daughter couldn’t throw away a Camellia blossom she has found fallen at the ground two days later… / I believe these two imperfect subjects made a perfect combination. What do you think?

Looks Best Full Size As I walked toward these wonderful, rickety old sheds near the Triadelphia Reservoir in Montgomery County, Maryland, this lovely creature alighted on the fence post and very obligingly posed for me. I caught this shot right before he floated away. I liked the way the butterfly and posts came out in nice crisp detail with the sheds and overgrown shrubs in a blurry bokeh. Image taken on June 15, 2009 with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikon/Nikkor lens. Shutter speed 1/200, aperture 5.6, exp 0.00, iso 200.
