This is another abstract of some crystals with glass…..hope you enjoy…. Division of Light The One Light cannot be divided, but extensions of the One Light can appear to divide it. The spots of sunlight upon the cathedral floor are many, but they are all / extensions of the one light of their source in the sun. She rests among the mosses / A shrine of wood and wishes / In this quiet sunlit forest / She is peaceful, not forgotten. / Zazzle / DeviantART / - / a dryad-treestump maiden, who twisted into place, / my pencilling too messy, so wood flowed round her face. / And grasses grew around her, and roots twisted round her wrist, / and from the slender sapling behind her, rose a girl of leaves and mist. I rather liked the concept and the curvy way she posed, / so as soon as the tablet was mine again, a sketch on the screen arose… / It wasn’t quite abstract or anime, nor a gentle blushing bride / and so out of wood I carved her and let the paint decide, And the leaves spread out around her, as I sprinkled and I spun / And brown and green around her, the trees grew one by one. / The steps I saw quite clearly, but the details made me yawn / So I looked up ruins and flung dabs, until perspective was born. And moss and sunlight gathered and layers flowed and split / And the hours flew silently by, until I was forced to quit. / But the quiet woodland waited, and the headless idol watched / Until I woke this morning and added bark metallic and notched… And the trees sprang up behind, and the flowers crept over the steps / And the sun lanced through the trees and everywhere shadows crept… / Roses of orange and yellow were added on a whim / and in the offering bowl lies a lily blurred and dim. ‘Til at last I could not deny her, she had to have a head, / Although I tried to distract her by painting her fingers instead. / The shiny coins didn’t sway her, and empty was this wood, / until I shaped her a face and swept over her a hood. Then sprouted a few last flowers, and a twisting thorny vine / Along the lowest terrace, its thorns as dark as wine / But I’ve worked on this seven full hours and new ideas have grown, / So posting and moving on now, before my muse has flown.

As a personal journey of transformation continues to unfold, this “spinning wheel” that sits in our loft, takes on a whole new meaning as today for the first time I became a silent warrior… In the days of old, we spun sheep’s wool into yarn / to knit and weave for warmth and socks to darn Today, yarns are tales told with deceptive pride / as arrogant greed leads to superiority’s confide Threats full of fear with angry, envious undertones / as regretful voices of ego make sorrowful groans No feelings of inferiority as the truth rings in my ears / as the serenity and silence of light soon appears A benevolent nature to observe becomes a deep strength / as my voice remains silent with the lights’ wavelength A strategy of peace and a nonviolent stance / frustrates the angry opponent in this loving dance Guilt overtakes him, as I spin hopes’ energetic light / as a silent warrior of compassion, I will win this fight. tkrosevear 3/23/2009 The Buddha was the one who turned the wheel of dharma or ‘wheel of law’, in Tibetan tradition it is translated as the ‘wheel of transformation’. The wheels motion is a metaphor for the rapid spiritual change engendered by the teachings of Buddha. The wheel also represents the endless cycle of rebirth or samsara (sanskrit). Interestingly enough, another auspicious symbol of Buddhism – the hub symbolizing moral discipline, which stabilizes the mind and the spokes (usually 8) represent wisdom which is applied to defeat ignorance. The rim represents training in concentration, which holds everything else together. Dharma, literally translated means ‘that which upholds or supports’, while in Buddhist translations it means “higher truth” and/or “the ultimate reality of universe”. / The “WHEEL” in general, is one of the supreme symbols of cosmic momentum – the force that drives the planets and the stars – and of ceaseless change and repitition. Within all cultures, practices and beliefs this symbol is linked to the cycles of manifestation, birth, death and rebirth, the Zodiac, time and human destiny. Spinning Wheel

This was taken at Mill Creek Lake in Amherst Virginia not too far from where I live, with my Cannon Powershot SX 110 IS. This is just a 5 minute drive for me. On the bank where I am standing it is already getting dark…but across the lake by the trees, the last light of the day is still shining.
