The upcoming solstice for the Northern Hemisphere takes place December 21 at 7:04 a.m. and for the Southern Hemisphere, it’s your summer solstice. If they celebrate it, with few exceptions most people celebrate Christmas on December 25. Rather than spend money and waste time on procuring the commercial trappings the corporate media and retail industry declare essential for demonstrating love for one another, we’re all choosing to focus on what’s happening right now. As the solstice occurs I’m going to be focusing on the meaning and intention of the following blessing. It would be wonderful if, as the solstice occurs in your area, those who read this pause a moment or longer to do the same. Doing so will be a wave of Light surging around this Earth we share. I hope you will join me. “May all hearts and minds unfurl, open and prepare to receive and embrace the angel’s message. May we all allow its grace to permeate and saturate both individual and our collective being with eternal, pure light. Like a precious, faceted gem and its sparkle, may humanity become one in the intention and manifestation of unified harmony with one another, earth, and all that dwells upon her.” Over the past few years people of my acquaintance have been phasing out the commercial aspects of holidays. Whatever their spiritual path, they’ve had enough of consumer gluttony that has become Christmas. Think of the man trampled to death in a recent Wal Mart stampede (limited number of discounted televisions, hurry!). We are declaring “Enough” and celebrating in ways meaningful and holy on our own terms. This holiday my entire family and many friends have declared no gift – giving, partly due to holiday overkill and partly to the economy. Children will receive gifts but not the cornucopia of crap as in previous years, most of which end up in landfills within 2 years or so. In my home we’ll have a selection of favorite films like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Secret of Roan Inish and A Christmas Carol. There will be good food, a fire in the fireplace and candles to honor the return of the Light. We’ll go for a long walk in the woods and come back to warm house and spiced wine. Play cards and lay around thumbing through books. Moving in harmony with the seasons makes this an ideal time for the inward/outward journey, the short days and long nights is the time of introspection and awareness. In keeping with the season it’s an ideal time for celebrating an inner Christmas of the spirit. This is a traditional time for savoring life and focusing on what’s really important. In ancient Rome this was called the Saturnalia and was a time for festivals, costumes, gift giving, feasting, and celebrations. The Absentee I guess that pretty much describes my state of being lately ….I apologize to each of you…..many have asked what’s going on??? Absolutely nothing……as you may or may not know, I retired from my full time position of Accountant as of 12/31/08…since then I have pretty much been occupied with setting up my photography business and greeting card store, as well as some local marketing……..it is very time consuming, but if I don’t spend this time taking care of these things, then I will truly be a starving photographer/artist…… I hope all of you will understand and know that it is nothing to do with you, but rather time being directed in a different direction…..I do miss the time I was spending here, but I do need to have an income other than a little bit of social security….. When I decided to take an early retirement, I found out that Uncle Sam takes an average of your last 30 years of work history to figure your Social Security income…..well since I stayed home for 15 of those years raising our three boys, my income is now cut in half…that hardly seems fair when you see us supporting so many people from other countries that come over our borders with no jobs and no intentions of working or supporting their families ….. Nonetheless, I chose an early retirement in order to pursue my photography fulltime and that is what I have been doing………thank you all for your gracious comments, favoriting and support of my work, but most of all thank you for the incredible friends I have made here . I am going to be here, but less visible, and I will do my best to drop you all a note now and again….my watchlist is out of control, and I know that I have missed so much….please don’t take it personally if I have not commented on your work lately…. Take care and keep up the awesome, gorgeous and so creative work that I have grown to love…..I will be thinking of you all even when I am not actively present…..You have all made such an incredible impact on me, and I am a better person for it…. So I was taking a shower this morning and had the most beautiful self realization ever, and I just thought I would have to share…. Its time to redecorate my inner temple….The inner temple houses the spirit, our consciousness…..Why have the walls of my temple smeared with crap from the past…..why do I view my inner self, my inner goddess, so badly, for no reason at all but because of the past, the hard times as a small child, the lack of love that my inner child needed to grow and flower to become a goddess was not there….but that does not matter now…..I am grown up and as I grew I let the world shape my inner vision of myself, a big mistake, but one we all make because of the society we live in, well i am tired of looking at myself that way….I decide what is beautiful…why decorate my inner temple the way society teaches us to….who are they to tell us who and what we are….SO now it is time to take off the goggles of society and see myself for what I am….me…I am a goddess,(just like you are) and my body and mind are my temple…..Its time to fill my temple with light and love and happiness…...My body is sacred for it houses, me and everything I am and it keeps me here in this physical realm or reality…...So why let anything or anyone into my temple who would pollute my holy space…..you would not let someone into your home who would disrespect your home or family, so the reflective value here is so important…....never let anyone into your temple who would not respect you, for you and never let anyone defile your sacred space…...another important fact is you cant let the influence of the world around you make you defile your own temple…..always keep your temple full of light and love, then you will float for then you can drop the weight of the world around you, drop the lead….reach that alchemical level of gold so when the time comes to leave this finite place you can ascend , and since the nature of this universe that like attracts like, gold attracts gold, light attracts light….therefore when you fill your inner temple with light and love when your spirit is freed from the physical temple, your light and love will only do what is natural, move to more light and more love, for light and love is valued by frequency….If you let the weight of the world fill you and your sacred temple with crap, the value of crap on an alchemical level is lead, so filling your sacred temple with lead will only lead to your spirit being weighed down, and sinking and rooting itself deeper into the lead, like attracts like and then you face the solidification of your spirit…..I for one choose to be free and flowing and moving, upward and onward, free of weight , free of fear and only embracing the light and the love….... Fill your inner temple with light and love, free yourself from the pain and fear of the past and never let the walls of your beautiful inner temple be defiled by anyone or anything…..free yourself from the circular loops of fear based nonsense of todays world, for if you are light, you can only be light and the ways of this place are only finite and you are infinite….

Each Sunday morning thousands of crosses, as the number of the fallen, for that day, are placed in the sand and volunteers are providing the public with up to the moment information on casualties plus individual stories on the fallen. This image was taken at memorial day 2007 as a tribute and memorial and as a cry for peace… Yes, I am inspired by dedicated people and their efforts to restore peace and humanity back… Thank you all for your support, votes and appreciation, and to the Prize Challenges!! group hosts for this wonderful challenge . Just an update for some who are aware of my friend Nolas’ encounter with cancer, she has had some reasonably good news, in that the docs think that it is treatable and are being positive about it, on the down side for her is that they are going to have to use some very heavy chemo drugs because of the agressiv eness of her particular cancer…....but anyway she starts treatment in 10 days times …........so if u have any time to spare a thought for her during the next couple of weeks…......it would be appreciated….....the power of minds can do a lot…....I have reminded her that she will be as bald as me….....but she will still be beautiful…....which may not be the case with me…....lol….............if u could just think …....peace and light to Nola….......tx…........ciao
