I’m always a pattern lover since I was a kid, so here comes a work that uses very basic elements within to show the beauty of light, colors and patterns. ian
Rules are made to be broken, so I disturbed the pattern to make an imperfect symmetry.
As Sydney was ravaged by bushfires, a thick blanket of smoke spread across the sky. The sun shining through it turned one of the cities most famous icon a beautiful gold.
This intimate, bright yet dark, static yet flowing, autumn themed image was made in Baxter State Park, Maine, USA in October 2006. I like the contrast of the flowing water beneath the still branches, the pop of color from the remaining birch leaves, and the juxtaposition of the branch atop the stream in tone and color! /
Beautiful dome rooftop in Lima, Peru
Another photograph taken in Iran, Inside one of the mosques was a wall with a star inspired design carbed into the brown clay wall. The design so intricate, so masterfully carved. It really was a beautiful sight.
Illuminated wood nymph butterfly resting on a girl’s shoulder.
Dedicated in memory of my Dad for the eternal flame of love that remains within my heart. Notice the bubbles are in the shape of a heart. / /

The phenomenon of light reflecting off a soap bubble is rarely observed. The iridescent colours are caused by interfering light waves, some of which reflect off the outer surface. I used a macro lens in order to capture this in detail. No adjustments were made to colour or saturation in Photoshop, only a simple square crop! As featured in the group ‘Super Macro Photography’ – 10/07/09 Thank you to all who stop by to have a look, it’s much appreciated, as are your comments! Copyright © Lesley Williamson 2009
