  • light – Cambridge beside the River Cam.

  • You gazed down at the bus stop and sighed to yourself- it was empty, like everything was now. The shadows remind you of the impending night and against your will your mind brings up those numbing images of last night- who is the butcher now? I had to do it you tell yourself firmly… but somehow you wish Lillian had killed you instead of the other way around. It had ended oddly, the colonel had said his fortune would be divided amongst those in the room left alive after his death (although at the time everyone had assumed that didn’t include you) and the fortune had been granted to you as everyone else was dead. The money made you sick. You shuffle towards the bus stop to wait alone- mind spinning through an endless black void…sickening. My last entry and final part of the story for a murder mystery Boredom Competition. For the rest of the story see my second image The Butcher (unless you don’t like violent images) and the first, Ghostly Glimpse

  • This lone tree stands on top of a building in the great city of Geelong. It atops the Geelong Hospital and stands as a defiant reminder that despite it’s environment of concrete, cars and congestion, nature can still show us a thing or two about beauty.

  • i took this image at a harbor side event in Fort Myers, Florida. But, it could be anywhere, no ? I decided to edit and find all of the amazing light and shadows of black and orange here to emphasize a mood…. sony DSC H 7 Handheld / Iso 80 / F 8.0 stop / 1/125 second

  • Standing tall amongst all others, this blade of grass stood out from the rest… a pillar of strength.

  • literally…..well ok maybe metaphorically as well….. I had a studio in the building on the right of your screen for nearly four years and it was a great studio in a complex of some dozens of other artists….. but it was located in the utter bowels of the inner city…. in the back of the industial estates and railway lines…. leaving there late at night was spooky to say the least …... here I’ve taken a quick snap out the window of the car as I left very very late one night….. this is the studio where I obsessed about Antarctica and this year past I achieved that goal… exactly this time last year I was in there in the frozen fairyland as an artist….. now I have a new goal….. wish me luck…..:)
