...These most recent pieces (my best work yet) reflect how I choose to view myself, life and everything it ‘that is’...!! I would describe life in the same way I do myself…. a mess… but a BEAUTIFUL one!!! ...These latest pieces would not have been brought to life without the inspiration of my BEST friend. She not only inspired this latest work but the title for this piece too! =)

poetry is more to me than words on a page multidimensional / beyond past and future / beyond up or down / always in and out of context / and breathing life through creation and how high is up anyway? (best viewed as large as possible)
mixed media on wood layers and layers and layers of little pieces of collected imagery, some of previous artwork such as hand made ornaments created from paper and found objects or carved from driftwood, then scanned in and transfered. to art work. copper leaf borders…...it is a happening…...happening as it happens….as I happen upon another little piece or snippet of LIFE original work still available.
Homage to my mom… The sun is rising, east of a woman’s freshly emancipated soul. With sheer delight she will watch her new freedom rise and grow strong, carrying her accross the ocean of her life. Eagerly riding the tides, she will brave strong currents and beautiful agitated seas, fighting her way through occasional storms, tasting the salt of life, and collecting a wealth of souvenirs and precious lessons along the way. Once on the west side of her existence, the time when she will be able to look back peacefully upon her itinerary will grow near. The emancipation will then be complete, after slowly unfolding over a lifetime. Respite will appear in the guise of serenity and of a well deserved inner peace. A life of emancipation and metamorphosis, in a changing world. The photos used in this image are all mine, except for the one of my young mom at 19, obviously. I used the following photos: Mom / Early magic / Regal Butterfly / Here Comes The Sun / / It is my first attempt at creating a composite image, using several layers in Photoshop and blending them in overlay or soft-light mode. Levels, curves, gradient maps and channel mixers adjustment layers were also used to tweak the image a bit. Drop shadows were added to the two portrait cutouts to soften the edges and procure a little bit of depth. This is a favorite saying of mine and so I combined it with a picture of storm clouds that I had taken. / / in IMAGE WRITING GROUP / in Color me a Rainbow group This saying is close to my heart as I have gone through difficult times with my health and prayed and hoped that the illness would leave and my health mentally and physically would return…. but it was not to be so I changed the way I was praying and instead asked for strength to continue on despite the challenges I faced and have felt many times that I was held in God’s loving arms as I faced difficult days ! So this means a lot to me to have this featured !! Thanks !! / Just like the saying in the picture, I have found that while having a painful or difficult time in my life, my first thought and wish is for it to be taken away and sometimes it is, but sometimes I have to see the storm through and I have been able to do that within the loving arms of my Heavenly Father or God and with His strength I can do all things As I have learned and grown through my experiences, I have gained wisdom and compassion. I then can be there to help someone else who is going through a “storm” of their own and help them know where to look for comfort and love and strength.
It is my deepest feeling that redbubble and all the beautiful and talented heARTists that I have shared over a year with, has changed my life, perspectives and thoughts about cyberspace. / Just wanted you all to know You are (were) Loved Photograph of bubbles blown by my husband and I, edited in photoshop7 with color saturation, redfield fractilius plug-in and text ( a poem I wrote last month). A better tomorrow is in each of our hands / within our grasps, if we choose to understand Everything changes and will come to an end / inevitable in our life’s relation with family and friends Some things will and some won’t go according to plan / intentions don’t matter and no exceptions for fellowman Life, as we perceive it, will not always seem fair / especially when ego uses drama’s fear to scare Pain of some consequence is part of life too / body and mind distressed with the aching loss of virtue People are not loving and loyal all the time / is a truth to be embraced, as we continue to climb To the heights of our spirit, we’ll echo passing on this light / of peaceful love in our hearts and hands to share this insight. 6/15/2009 tkrosevear Thanks for being here and creating an ECHO in my heart and life ♥

You painted all the trees, you didn’t know that they would die, / you varnished all the leaves, you didn’t know they couldn’t breathe This is a drawing i did inspired by a song and a friend (the best combination for an artwork in my belief)... The song in mind is Treeology by Shady Bard. The lyrics of the beginning are at the top and the rest on the artwork. Now for my friend… As you might have gathered I am a hippie at heart, an AMIABLE personality type and so is she. (Read the description provided for more information). One day whilst drawing and painting together she decided our personailties were like trees.. we provide love, shelter, care,a safe haven for friends, secrets, sorrows and love and give shade to the needy and a place to rest for the wary. we provide, life, homes, peace, love, fun, knowledge, spirit, history, pleasure, beauty to the world and the world would be boring and lifeless without us. yet sometimes, people sit in our branches, breaking them whilst gorging our fruit, picking our flowers and carving our bark. Yet silent as we are, we allow it to happen and remain quiet about the pain and sorrow we feel, only other trees understand and feel our pain (we tend to show emotions yet give no reason or meaning behind it)... I though this very appropriate and so decided to draw it… and it links in with the song… Done in ink Featured In Finks Of Ink / Music Inspired Art

This poem came about after reading from Heidegger’s, Poetry, Language, Thought. / There is a section titled: Poetically Man Dwells, which is taken from a poem by: Holderlin with the same title. / Basically, Heidegger is saying that man is born a poetic creature – with a full house; seeing the world poetically, living his own life, a natural poet – words to page or not. / But upon growing, living, ”...our dwelling is harassed by work (for another), made insecure by the hunt for gain and success, bewitched by the entertainment and recreation industry.” etc… there is much more I could quote, but, basically he is saying that in today’s world, there is not much room left in one’s house for living as we were intended… / ”...poetry does not fly above and surmount the earth in order to escape it, and hover over it…poetry is what first brings man onto the earth, making him belong to it, and thus brings him into the dwelling.” / Thank goodness for RedBubble, where so many still find time to fill up their houses.
