My personal favourite of my images iv ever done.
From the Depth
Charcoal drawing and photo.
-
Charcoal drawing, scanned etching plate and Apophysis overlays / Sold as a laminated print and a card in January 2008
Thrilled at being asked to take some pictures for my friends who are expecting their fist child, I jumped at the chance and suggested something a little different to the shoot they may have been thinking of having at home… / Shot out in the desert, west of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on an overcast and windy day… work in post processing, sat in my warm house on an even more overcast and windy day… winters here! / Read my journal for a description of the day… crowds and all!
The symbols in this image are the tree of life with the rabbit representing birth and the raven representing death. The trees roots are wrapped around the figure of a woman; the soul of nature in her endless labor, toiling and eroding in her cyclical eternity. Photo Montage.
Strictly for those who want to get seduced. I dare YOU to add it to your favorites. :)
Self portrait - I love these magazines my Grandma gave them to me! all the ones I have are from the early 1940’s this one is my favorite, on the cover is Gloria Grahame she was in some really old films and one of them was It’s a Wonderful Life I can’t remember the other ones but I just love looking through these magazines!
A bit of commentary on what society does to our perception of our bodies… / The big squeeze has been selected to be part of the Celebrate Herstory 2009 exhibition run by Manhattan Arts International.

/ / nurture / The act of nourishing or nursing; tender care; education; training; That which nourishes; food; diet; The environmental influences that contribute to the development of an individual; see also nature; to nourish or nurse / en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nurture Media – pencil and photoshop / Substrate – paper I can’t explain this, ‘cept to say, it’s inspired by our connection with nature and the fragility of life itself sometimes, the message coming through is to nurture life by way of fostering goodwill toward one another and accepting we have a duty of care to our natural world also. Because Easter is approaching I thought it appropriate :) The child’s sustenance, or umbilical cord if you like is coming from a tree, symbolic of the healing that nature can bring….the new life and growth that comes with nurture both of spirit and of nature. Humility is understanding our rightful place in the scheme of all things, including nature, family structure and the wider community…... a world where there is tolerance for all, is the one i pray for

Women in most ancient and modern cultures and major religions are considered “life-givers”. Here, a beautiful young woman is portrayed just as she teeters on the brink between innocence and her destiny, as “Life – Giver”. Suggestions: Friendship, Thinking of You, or Mother to Be Note Card. This is also beautiful, framed. Thanks to the beautiful model, Ilana Lu. My Website Thomas wrote a lovely poem for this image I created. Please go check out his work. / Thank you so much Tom !! :) Tracks of Life At times the tracks of our lives lead us on a path through the darkest reaches of our minds. / The mist covers the memories of moments we need to pass, let go of, move on from. / Our fears scream from the darkness, clawing at our souls, grabbing at our hearts. / If we pause we are lost. / The journey takes us through the darkness into a light filled with hope. / Rays of security fill us with warmth and / the strength to drive forward into a world bright with love Thomas Simunsen

My New Website Dandelion image by the lovely Enivea !! Dreaming My Dreams Of You All the things you said to me today, / Change my perspective in every way. / These things count to mean so much to me, / Into my faith, you and your baby. It’s out there. It’s out there. / It’s out there. If you want me I’ll be here. I’ll be dreaming my dreams with you. / I’ll be dreaming my dreams with you. / And there’s no other place, / That I’d lay down my face. / I’ll be dreaming my dreams with you. It’s out there. It’s out there. / It’s out there. If you want me I’ll be here… I’ll be dreaming my dreams with you. / I’ll be dreaming my dreams with you. / And there’s no other place, / That I’d lay down my face. / I’ll be dreaming my dreams with you. Dreaming my dreams with you. / I’ll be dreaming my dreams with you. / And there’s no other place, / That I’d lay down my face. / I’ll be dreaming my dreams with you. The Cranberries
Sometimes, you just have to let go of your past….. Missing I step off the train / I’m walkin’ down your street again / And past your door / But you don’t live there anymore / It’s years since you’ve been there / And now you’ve disappeared somewhere / Like outer space / You’ve found some better place And I miss you / (Like the deserts miss the rain) / And I miss you / Oh / (Like the deserts miss the rain) Could you be dead? / You always were two steps ahead / Of ev’ryone / We’d walk behind while you would run / I look up at your house / And I can almost hear you shout, down to me / Where I always used to be And I miss you / (Like the deserts miss the rain) / And I miss you / (Like the deserts miss the rain) Back on the train / I ask why did I come again / Can I confess? / I’ve been hangin’ ‘round your old address / And the years have proved / To offer nothin’ since you moved / You’re long gone / But I can’t move on And I miss you / Oh-oh (Like the deserts miss the rain) / And I miss you, yeah / (Like the deserts miss the rain) And I miss you I step off the train / I’m walkin’ down your street again / Past your door / I guess you don’t live there anymore / It’s years since you’ve been there / And now you’ve disappeared somewhere / Like outer space / You’ve found some better place And I miss you / (Like the deserts miss the rain) / And I miss you, yeah / (Like the deserts miss the rain) / And I miss you, and I miss you / (Like the deserts miss the rain) / And I miss you, yeah / (Like the deserts miss the rain) Nothing But The Girl
