MWM: This long letter to humanity appeared with no apparent return address. It is being posted here and there. This is another Internet piece for which I cannot assess the validity. All I CAN say is that it sounds like a good idea, is coherent, and is written skillfully at a level of intelligence and maturity with I would associate with a serious, non-technical, matter-of-fact level of discourse. It is not ethnically loaded and the writer has a very good understanding of language and human psychology, though there are a few moments where the grammar is different than we are accustomed to and there are a couple of language errors. Most importantly, it makes no reference to impossible constructs, faux-tech, nor any type of religious or New Age buzzwords. This is as clean a straight-shooting letter, as you will find. Accordingly I am sending it to you to “vet” it and see what our Phoenix Five brain trust surmises about it. I am also sending it to you because it might be real. The main assertion in the letter is that human civilization is now in an uncontrollable free-fall implosion which cannot be “fixed” from within existing social systems. The implosion is causing, will cause a major rupture in all human orders. There is a dark road down toward the use of technology to rapidly enslave human populations in a badly degraded and unhealthy environment. Those who are defining this path, many of them unintentionally, have the greater advantage of power over resources and may gain the upper hand during the coming rupture. There are many who would take a liberating path, they could gain the upper hand if they UNDERSTAND THE CHOICE and can lose their fear, sense of isolation, and ignorance about the true state of affairs. The main proposition in the letter is that the mass appearance of ET in the skies now could help humanity clear away the veils of illusion and deceits, help settle many existential issues and dilemmas, and provide an “attractor” to help pull positive mentalities out of the social death-vortex and enable them to refocus the next stage in evolution. The main question in the letter is whether you want ET to thus show UP. ET suggests that direct contact and some cultural assistance would provide the means to overcome the major blocks in human social and cultural evolution. ET argues that the mental/emotional ground needs to be prepared for such contact. Consent and expectation for such contact needs to be created around the world, less humans react in mass with fear and become manipulated by reactive power elites. ET suggests that a focused telepathic answer from each reader will be sufficient to assist ET is reaching a conclusion about what it should or should not do. Even as the internet is achieving universal penetration during this time, ET requests that this letter, its first mass communication, be universally translated and transmitted throughout the world. Your happiness depends upon the love that you give and receive. Like all conscious races at this stage of progress, you may feel isolated on your planet. This impression makes you sure of your destiny. Yet, you are at the brink of big upheavals that only a minority is aware of. It is not our responsibility to modify your future without you choosing it. Consider this message as a worldwide referendum! And your answer as a ballot! Who are we ? Neither your scientists nor your religious representatives speak unanimously about the unexplained celestial events that mankind has witnessed for thousands of years. At certain stages of evolution, cosmic “humanities” discover new forms of science beyond the apparent control of matter. Structured dematerialisation and materialisation are part of them. Many human beings have been in visual, auditory, tactile or psychic contact with such ships, some of which are under occult powers that govern you. The scarcity of your observations is due to the outstanding advantages provided by the dematerialised state of these ships. By not witnessing them by yourself, you cannot believe in their existence. We fully understand this. The majority of these observations are made on an individual basis so as to touch the soul and not to modify any organised system. Humankind´s entrance into the family of galactic civilisations is greatly expected. We can appear in broad daylight and help you attain this union. We haven´t done it so far, as too few of you have genuinely desired it, because of ignorance, indifference or fear, and because the emergency of the situation did not justify it. Many of those who study our appearances count the lights in the night without lighting the way. Often they think in terms of objects when it is all about conscious beings. Who are you ? You are the offspring of many traditions that throughout time have been mutually enriched by each others´ contributions. The same applies to the races at the surface of the Earth. Your goal is to unite in the respect of these roots to accomplish a common project. The appearance of your cultures seems to keep you separated because you substitute it to your deeper being. Shape is now more important than the essence of your subtle nature. For the powers in place, this prevalence of the shape constitutes the ramparts against any form of jeopardy. You are being called on to overcome shape while still respecting it for its richness and beauty. Understanding the conscience of shape makes us love men in their diversity. Conquests almost always happened to the detriment of others. Your thoughts and beliefs are modelled after partisan interests to turn you into slaves while at the same time giving you the feeling that you are in total control of your destiny, which in essence is the reality. But there is a long way between a wish and a fact when the true rules of the game at hand are unknown. This time, you are not the conqueror. Biasing information is a millenary strategy for human beings. Inducting thoughts, emotions or organisms that do not belong to you via ad hoc technologies is an even older a strategy. Wonderful opportunities of progress stand close to big subdual and destruction threats. These dangers and opportunities exist now. However, you can only perceive what is being shown to you. The end of natural resources is programmed whereas no long-term collective project has been launched. Ecosystem exhaustion mechanisms have exceeded irreversible limits. The scarcity of resources and their unfair distribution – resources which entry price will rise day after day – will bring about fratricide fights at a large scale, but also at the very heart of your cities and countrysides. Hatred grows bigger but so does love. That is what keeps you confident in your ability to find solutions. But the critical mass is insufficient and a sabotage work is cleverly being carried out. Human behaviours, formed from past habits and trainings, have such an inertia that this perspective leads you to a dead end. You entrust these problems to representatives, whose conscience of common well-being slowly fades away in front of corporatist interests, with those difficulties. They are always debating on the form but rarely on the content. Just at the moment of action, delays will accumulate to the point when you have to submit rather than choose. This is the reason why, more than ever in your history, your decisions of today will directly and significantly impact your survival of tomorrow. What event could radically modify this inertia that is typical of any civilisation? Where will a collective and unifying awareness come from, that will stop this blind rushing ahead? Tribes, populations and human nations have always encountered and interacted with one another. The first way was chosen by a group of races motivated by keeping mankind in slavery, thereby controlling Earth resources, the gene pool and human emotional energy. The second way was chosen by a group of races allied with the cause of the Spirit of service. We have, at our end, subscribed to this disinterested cause and introduced ourselves a few years ago to representatives of the human power who refused our outstretched hand on the pretext of incompatible interests with their strategic vision. That is why today individuals are to make this choice by themselves without any representative interfering. What we proposed in the past to those whom we believed were in a capacity to contribute to your happiness, we propose it now to … you! Most of you ignore that non-human creatures took part in the exercise of those centralising powers without them being neither suspected nor accessible to your senses. This is so true that they have almost very subtly taken control. They do not necessarily stand on your material plan, and that is precisely what could make them extremely efficient and frightening in the near future. However, be aware that a large number of your representatives are fighting this danger ! Be aware that not all abductions are made against you. It is difficult to recognize the truth ! Their deadlines are close and mankind will undergo unprecedented torments for the next ten cycles. To defend yourselves against this aggression that bears no face, you need at least to have enough information that leads to the solution. As is also the case with humans, resistance exists amongst those dominant races. Here again, appearance will not be enough to tell the dominator from the ally. At your current state of psychism, it is extremely difficult for you to distinguish between them. In addition to your intuition, training will be necessary when the time has come. Being aware of the priceless value of free will, we are inviting you to an alternative. What can we offer ? We can offer you a more holistic vision of the universe and of life, constructive interactions, the experience of fair and fraternal relationships, liberating technical knowledge, eradiction of suffering, controlled exercise of individual powers, the access to new forms of energy and, finally, a better comprehension of consciousness. We cannot help you overcome your individual and collective fears, or bring you laws that you would not have chosen, work on your own selves, individual and collective effort to build the world you desire, the spirit of quest to new skies. What would we receive? Should you decide that such a contact takes place, we would rejoice over the safeguarding of fraternal equilibrium in this region of the universe, fruitful diplomatic exchanges, and the intense Joy of knowing that you are united to accomplish what you are capable of. The main difference between your daily prayers to entities of a strictly spiritual nature and your current decision is extremely simple : we are technically equipped to materialise! Why such a historical dilemma ? We know that “foreigners” are considered as enemies as long as they embody the “unknown”. In a first stage, the emotion that our appearance will generate will strengthen your relationships on a worldwide scale. How could you know whether our arrival is the consequence of your collective choice ? For the simple reason that we would have otherwise been already there for a long time at your level of existence! If we are not there yet, it is because you have not made such a decision explicitly. Some among you might think that we would make you believe in a deliberate choice of yours so as to legitimate our arrival, though this would not be true. What interest would we have to openly offer you what you haven´t got any access to yet, for the benefit of the greatest number of you? How could you be certain that this is not yet another subtle manoeuvre of the “third party” to better enslave you ? Because one always more efficiently fights something that is identified than the contrary. Isn´t the terrorism that corrodes you a blatant example ? Whatever, you are the sole judge in your own heart and soul ! Whatever your choice, it would be respectable and respected! In the absence of human representatives who could potentially seduce into error you ignore everything about us as well as from about those who manipulate you without your consent. In your situation, the precationary principle that consists in not trying to discover us does no longer prevail. You are already in the Pandora´s box that the “third party” has created around you. Whatever your decision may be you will have to get out of it. In the face of such a dilemma, one ignorance against another, you need to ask your intuition. Do you want to see us with your own eyes, or simply believe what your thinkers say ? That is the real question! After thousands of years, one day, this choice was going to be inevitable: choosing between two unknowns. Why spread such a message among yourselves? Translate and spread this message widely. This action will affect your future in an irreversible and historical way at the scale of milleniums, otherwise, it will postpone a new opportunity to choose to several years later, at least one generation, if it can survive. Not choosing stands for undergoing other people´s choice. Not informing others stands for running the risk of obtaining a result that is contrary to one´s expectations. Remaining indifferent means giving up one´s free will. It is all about your future. It is all about your evolution. It is possible that this invitation does not receive your collective assent and that, because of a lack of information, it will be disregarded. Nevertheless no individual desire goes unheeded in the universe. Imagine our arrival tomorrow. Thousands of ships. A unique cultural shock in today´s mankind´s history. THE GODDESS RETURNS For over twenty-five thousand years, the Goddess and her energies ruled the world and all life on our planet was under her guidance. All of the archeological evidence of the past suggests that it was the Goddess that people first looked to for guidance and wisdom. The historical evidence suggests that during her reign, there existed a positive vision of life expressed as a living unity and the perception of a connected Universe. Life on this planet was viewed as an organic, living, and sacred whole, wherein humanity, the Earth and all life on Earth, were woven together into a single connective circle, part of the universal web…the circle of life. For the greatest part of our human history we have had a matriarchal society. Women were the bearers and nurturers of life. In the villages and towns they were the midwives, healers, shamans, soothsayers and wise women, the human embodiment of the Goddess. Men and women were both aware of a woman’s special connection to the Universal Life Force Energy. Men and women understood this Spiritual connection. The knowledge of this natural gift was passed from mother to daughter, nurtured by society, promoted and accepted by all. Women’s creative, sexual power was viewed as God’s gift to us all and the most important part of sustaining and nurturing all life in a healthy balance here on earth. In today’s world we often associate sexuality with violence or sin, whereas our ancestors and our earlier societies associated sexuality with the sacred and Spiritual. The illustrations that our earliest ancestors left for us scribbled on dark cave walls and illuminated temples were of the Goddess. The oldest man-made artifacts that have been discovered by archeologists, buried under thousands of years of dirt and rock, were of tiny rounded clay figurines of the Goddess. Both sculptures and early paintings present the divine female in her full creative, pregnant, and powerful glory. / / Roughly four thousand years ago, the role of the male God or Gods started to take a bigger role in developed societies. Man had now evolved to a point where he began to develop new ways to be the master of his world and not merely a participant in the natural process as before. At this point in human history, the Great Goddess became associated with nature, a chaotic force needing to be mastered. The new male Gods took to the roles of conquering or ordering this chaotic Nature into structured laws. The male energies began to take dominance over the female energies. The Spiritual feminine world and the male physical worlds started to separate. The mind was separated from matter, the soul from body, thinking from feeling, intellect from intuition, and reason from instinct. The feminine principles, which had manifested themselves in our mythology as ‘the Goddess’ with her benevolent values of BEING; love, sex, creativity, spontaneity, feeling, instinct and intuition—were lost as valid expressions of the sanctity and unity of life. They were not forgotten, perhaps, but they were indeed demeaned, discarded by many, and pushed out of the mainstream. The natural circle of life was now broken and the world began tipping out of balance. / / This new man-made dualism created competition instead of cooperation, specialization instead of wholeness, and a whole host of separations that were created from what was once a natural unity. This was the beginning of the new patriarchal society and the new rule of the male Energy here on Earth. Then, less than two thousand years ago, man took the next evolutionary step to dominance by creating a religion that for the first time was an all-male religion with a singular male God and his sexless Son/God on earth. The role of the woman in this new religion was at best to be subservient and was extremely diminished in all respects by the creators of this new religion. Sex and Spirit were for the first time in the world’s history torn apart. The only way, we were now told, to insure our spiritual enlightenment was to strip ourselves of our base, human, bodily vices. Sexual feelings and sexual passion were now things to battle against for the sake of our Soul. Women were made to be ashamed of their sex and over time forgot about their natural creative Spiritual powers and how to purposefully use them to powerfully connect at the highest human levels to The Universal Life Force Energy. Love of self was now replaced with fear of self. When Spirit gave me this information, I was told that there was an essential reason why an equal abundance of Goddess Energy had been missing from the world for the last two thousand years. This was not a Spiritual injustice, and at the beginning of the change, no person or group was at fault. This shift in the balance of Masculine and feminine Energy was part of a great Universal plan. Again, nothing happens by chance. Spirit created this Male/Female imbalance for a reason. This was a temporary and planned diversion. The near absence of the passive feminine Goddess Energy on this planet was necessary to provide a large clear space for the male God Energy to be globally released unchecked and unbalanced for the most part by the Goddess. In the process, the excess male Energy would quickly achieve some fascinating and inspiring technological advancements. In the beginning, the Female/Goddess Energy had been needed in over abundance to cultivate and populate a healthy world. Now this would be the male’s time to accomplish an evolutionary planetary jump using the unbridled aggressive male energies to quickly advance our culture and our world to the point that we are at right now. It has always been prophesized that when the time was right, the Male Energy would recombine once again with the Female Energy to create an even stronger whole than before. I have been told that the time for this Spiritual Re-Union is NOW. Letting the male Energy rule by itself came at a price. The male energies can be and have been destructive, laying waste to nature, obliterating many ideas, ideals and any physical structures standing in its path, creating imbalance everywhere and with everything. Spirit has told me that this is the time for the balance between the God and the Goddess, male and female, to come together again into the Sacred Whole. It is time for everything to come into balance and it starts by women everywhere waking up, releasing, listening, feeling, and then reclaiming their power… to Re-Create the balance within them, and in turn, balance and heal the world. Now the powerful abundance of the Feminine Life Force Energy that is focused on the earth is helping to bring about the balanced change in everyone and everything. It is creating the space and the energetic environment necessary for the rise again of the Divine Feminine, the Goddess, and for her to take man’s hand and work together in harmony once again as equals. This is the best read in a very long time…..enjoy. / This is a wonderful piece by Michael Gartner, editor of newspapers large and small and president of NBC News. In 1997, he won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing. Its well worth reading and a few good chuckles are guaranteed. / ____ / My father never drove a car. Well, that’s not quite right. I should say I never saw him drive a car. / He quit driving in 1927, when he was 25 years old, and the last car he drove was a 1926 Whippet. / “In those days,” he told me when he was in his 90s, “to drive a car you had to do things with your hands, / and do things with your feet, and look every which way, and I decided you could walk through life / and enjoy it or drive through life and miss it.” / At which point my mother, a sometimes salty Irishwoman, chimed in: “Oh, bull! she said. “He hit a horse.” / “Well,” my father said, “there was that, too.” / So my brother and I grew up in a household without a car. The neighbors all had cars, the Kollingses next / door had a green 1941 Dodge, the VanLaninghams across the street a gray 1936 Plymouth, the Hopsons two / doors down a black 1941 Ford, but we had none. My father, a newspaperman in Des Moines, would take the / streetcar to work and, often as not, walk the 3 miles home. She learned in a nearby / cemetery, the place where I learned to drive the following year and where, a generation later, I took my two / sons to practice driving. The cemetery probably was my father’s idea. “Who can your mother hurt in the / cemetery?” I remember him saying more than once. / For the next 45 years or so, until she was 90, my mother was the driver in the family. Neither she nor my father / had any sense of direction, but he loaded up on maps, though they seldom left the city limits, and appointed / himself navigator. It seemed to work. / Still, they both continued to walk a lot. My mother was a devout Catholic, and my father an equally devout / agnostic, an arrangement that didn’t seem to bother either of them through their 75 years of marriage(Yes, 75 / years, and they were deeply in love the entire time.) / He retired when he was 70, and nearly every morning for the next 20 years or so, he would walk with her the / mile to St. Augustin’s Church. She would walk down and sit in the front pew, and he would wait in the back / until he saw which of the parish’s two priests was on duty that morning. If it was the pastor, my father then / would go out and take a 2 mile walk, meeting my mother at the end of the service and walking her home. / If it was the assistant pastor, he’d take just a 1mile walk and then head back to the church. He called the priests / “Father Fast” and “Father Slow.” After he retired, my father almost always accompanied my mother whenever / she drove anywhere, even if he had no reason to go along. If she were going to the beauty parlor, he’d sit in the / car and read, or go take a stroll or, if it was summer, have her keep the engine running so he could listen to the / Cubs game on the radio. In the evening, then, when I’d stop by, he’d explain: “The Cubs lost again. The / millionaire on second base made a bad throw to the millionaire on first base, so the multimillionaire on third / base scored.” If she were going to the grocery store, he would go along to carry the bags out , and to make / sure she loaded up on ice cream. As I said, he was always the navigator, and once, when he was 95 and she was / 88 and still driving, he said to me, “Do you want to know the secret of a long life?” “I guess so,” I said, knowing / it probably would be something bizarre. No left turns,” he said. “What?” I asked. “No left turns,” he repeated. / “Several years ago, your mother and I read an article that said most accidents that old people are in happen / when they turn left in front of oncoming traffic. As you get older, your eyesight worsens, and you can lose your / depth perception, it said. So your mother and I decided never again to make a left turn.” “What?” I said again. / “No left turns,” he said. “Think about it. Three rights are the same as a left, and that’s a lot safer. So we always / make three rights.” “You’re kidding!” I said, and I turned to my mother for support”No,” she said, “your father’s / right. We make three rights. It works.” But then she added: “Except when your father loses count.” I was / driving at the time, and I almost drove off the road as I started laughing. “Loses count?” I asked. “Yes,” my / father admitted, “that sometimes happens. But it’s not a problem. You just make seven rights, and you’re okay / again.” I couldn’t resist. “Do you ever go for 11?” I asked. “No,” he said ” If we miss it at seven, we just come / home and call it a bad day. Besides, nothing in life is so important it can’t be put off another day or another / week.” My mother was never in an accident, but one evening she handed me her car keys and said she had / decided to quit driving. One September afternoon in 2004, he and my son went / with me when I had to give a talk in a neighboring town, and it was clear to all three of us that he was wearing / out, though we had the usual wideranging conversation about politics and newspapers and things in the news. / A few weeks earlier, he had told my son, “You know, Mike, the first hundred years are a lot easier than the / second hundred.” At one point in our drive that Saturday, he said, “You know, I’m probably not going to live / much longer.” “You’re probably right,” I said. “Why would you say that?” He countered, somewhat irritated. / “Because you’re 102 years old,” I said. “Yes,” he said, “you’re right.” He stayed in bed all the next day. / That night, I suggested to my son and daughter that we sit up with him through the night. He appreciated it, he / said, though at one point, apparently seeing us look gloomy, he said: “I would like to make an announcement. / No one in this room is dead yet.” An hour or so later, he spoke his last words: “I want you to know,” he said, / clearly and lucidly, “that I am in no pain. I am very comfortable. And I have had as happy a life as anyone on / this earth could ever have.” A short time later, he died. I miss him a lot, and I think about him a lot. I’ve / wondered now and then how it was that my family and I were so lucky that he lived so long. I know this: you can consider/tally all the bodily, the mental, the emotional in the pro or con columns; but that one spiritual card, pro or con, determines if you make a move or you stand still, clearance or no go. That one spiritual card (unknown reason) can defy all logic. I have navigated this metaphoric/intuitive way my entire life. Why would this time be any different? / Now the lymph nodes are definitely involved, spreading confirmed. There comes a time when surgery and exposing the cells to air is contraindicated. That time has come. I will continue my alternative, quantum, and indigenous remedies. The seizures are hard to bear; they will try another antineuroleptic drug on me beginning in December. / I am hanging on for my Daughter. / I want to FEEL ALIVE! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I’ve been having a bit of email conversation with someone, which started out because they invited me to a group that, by description, involves something I fundamentally disagree with. It makes a distinction between spiritual and religious. I joined the group anyway, but only after my disclaimer sort of objections were made; because I was re-invited after they were made. So, fine: so long as the person is sure of what they are getting, that’s their business. So, today, I got an email reiterating the initial point and explaining that he knows people who are religious (Christians) who are not at all spiritual; but he knows people who are not religious, but spiritual – including atheists – who are basically kind, good, decent, honest, and harmless. It was not a very nice email, as he also implied that I am incapable of understanding his point. I do understand his point, I simply disagree with it at every turn. However, I don’t think he even got what I was disagreeing with. I mean, it seems he was going at it from the opposite angle of my meaning. So, hmm .. how do I explain this succinctly? Maybe I don’t: let’s see! Religion is “a way of life” . Atheists do not believe in God, okay. Or, you know, some of them actually do, but they simply don’t believe he has any business in their life. So, there’s a point that isn’t often even brought up. But, most of them have ” a way of life” They don’t just live in utter chaos. They have their rituals, they have those things and persons that are what they live for, what they would die for, and that they do not ever wish to do without. That is religion. A religious group is a group of persons who have the same basic values, beliefs, wish to worship the same things in relatively the same ways. It isn’t necessarily God or Satan or Jesus or Shanti or Ishtar, or etc. It could be money, it could be free love, it could be marijuana. It’s still religious. Being spiritual is about reaching for a higher ideal that is something beyond the flesh. Someone can be basically good and harmless, by worldly standards, and still be non-spiritual because they are being good and harmless only to those who fall within their sphere of recognition, or etc. A person who claims to be religious is not necessarily spiritual, even if the religion they are claiming to belong to is essentially one of spirit rather than flesh.(because, after all, maybe they are just making the claim, and not putting in the work; and not living by the spirit.). A religion does not have to involve seeking a higher person or ideal, though; could just be seeking pleasure, for instance. A person who actually is spiritual is, by nature of them living beyond the flesh, religious, though! They may not be part of an organized religious group, but they are religious. So, my argument is not that spiritual people have no merit, or that spirituality is not connected with doing good; and it certainly is not that all religious persons are better than all persons who are only spiritual. My argument is that you cannot say, truthfully: Spirituality does not equal religion. Religion is about beliefs and following rules. Spirituality is about the search for truth. Why? Because the purpose of the majority of religions is, in fact, to search for the truth. If the people are only following rules, then yes, there is no spirituality. But, anything that is seeking beyond yourself is religion, whether you iinvolve the spiritual aspects or not, so anything spiritual is always religious. Besides which, sorry, but, playing with Oija boards is spiritual, which is considered a serious religious act by many religions by the way, but it is neither good or harmless. So, one cannot define “spiritual” as good, harmless, kind, etc. It is simply something beyond the flesh. Nope, not succinct at all. Well, perhaps I shall try again, some other dayy.

In my traditionally composed paintings of flowers and Greek icons, I express the peace, relaxation, and spirituality she connects with the act of painting. Although I renders oil-on-canvas floral subjects in hues reminiscent of the Renaissance tradition, I masterfully uses negative space and photographic angles to produce graphic images with a decidedly modern sensibility. My works appear starkly divided into two categories, but they are intrinsically linked by my personal symbolism influenced by my deep faith and personal story. For that which touches you touches the apple of My eye. You are dear in my eyes, precious, and I have loved you; therefore it is a particular pleasure for Me to educate you. When temptations arise against you, and the enemy comes like a river, I want you to know—This was from Me. Your weakness needs My strength, and your safety comes from giving Me the opportunity to fight for you. If you find yourself in difficult circumstances, among people who do not understand you, who do not take what you like into consideration, who alienate you—This was from Me. I am God, Who arranges circumstances. It was no accident that you find yourself in the place where you are; this is the place I have appointed for you. Did you not ask that I teach you humility? Well, then, look: I have placed you in precisely that place, in that school, where this lesson is learned. Your surroundings and those who live with you are only fulfilling My will. If you find yourself in financial difficulty, if you find it hard to make ends meet—This was from Me. For I have your material means at my disposal. I want you to call unto me, for you to be dependant upon Me. My reserves are inexhaustible. I want you to be confirmed in fidelity to Me and to My promises. May it not be said to you in your need: You did not believe in the Lord your God. Are you in a night of suffering? Are you separated from your loved ones and those close to your heart? Give this to me, and bring your soul closer to Me, your Refuge, to hide from the contradiction of the nations. I shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday. If your plans have been destroyed, if you are downtrodden in soul and tired—This was from Me. You made plans, and brought them to Me, so that I would bless them. But I want you to leave Me in charge of the circumstances of your life, and then responsibility for everything will be Mine, for this is too difficult for you; by yourself you can not manage them, for you are only an instrument, and not the actor. If unanticipated problems of life have visited you, and if despondency has seized your heart, then know—This was from Me. For I want your heart and your soul to be always aflame before My eyes; to conquer faint-heartedness of the soul in My name. If you do not hear from your dear ones and friends for a long time, and in your faint-heartedness fall into despondency and grumbling, know—This was from Me. By this anguish in your spirit, I test the strength of your faith in the surity of My promise and the strength of your boldness in prayer for these dear ones of yours. Was it not you who entrusted them to the Protection of My All-Pure Mother? Was it not you who once entrusted their care to My providential love? If serious illness, either temporary or incurable, has visited you, and has confined to your bed, then know—This was from Me. For I want you to know Me even more deeply in you bodily infirmities, so that you would not grumble over this trial sent to you, that you would not try to penetrate My plans through different means for the salvation of peoples souls, but that you would uncomplainingly and submissively bow you neck under My goodness towards you. If you have dreamed of performing some special deed for Me, and instead haven fallen onto a bed of sickness and weakness—This was from Me. Then you would have been immersed in your activities, and I would not have been able to attract your thoughts to Me, for I want to teach you My deepest thoughts and lessons, so that you would be in My service. I want to teach you to recognize that you are nothing. Some of My best co-workers are those who have been cut off from vital activity, that they would learn to wield the weapon of unceasing prayer. Have you unexpectedly been called to occupy a difficult and responsible position? Go, place it on Me. I entrust these difficulties to you so that the Lord God would bless you for this in all your deeds, on all your paths, in everything that will done by your hands. On this day I put into your hands a vessel of holy oil. Use it generously, My children! Every difficulty that arises, every word that insults you, every obstacle to your work that could elicit in you a feeling of annoyance, every revelation of your weakness and inability, shall be anointed with this oil. Remember that every obstacle is a Divine instruction. Every sting will be dulled when you learn to see Me in everything that touches you. Therefore place the word I have declared to you today in your heart: This was from Me. For this is not an empty matter for you—this is your life.” Translator’s note: Inasmuch as the above text was distributed for from hand-to-hand in samizdat form for several decades, printed versions include competing explanations of its authorship and origin. The most common attribution is to St Seraphim of Viritsa, who was said to have written it in 1937 to a certain bishop, his spiritual son, who was at the time in prison. It is almost entirely certain, however, that the author is in fact Metropolitan Manuel (Lemeshevsky) of Kuibyshev and Syzran (1884-1968). It is known that St Seraphim of Viritsa and Metropolitan Manuel were acquainted, and therefore it could be speculated that this meditation represents the latter’s record of the saint’s spiritual teaching. Do you remember the clarity of childhood? Out in the playground you would sit observant and care free. Do you remember the smell of the freshly cut woodchips underneath the monkey bars? Everything was so crisp, so fresh and so new. You remember the smell of the damp soil as you dig in the garden. The change in sunlight as the summer’s day turned to a cool afternoon doused in shade. You really did live in the moment. It’s funny how when you recall childhood memories you really do remember the small details. You remember the smells, the tastes, the texture and the emotion. I remember the colours of my plastic trike, every single part and the sound it used to make when the plastic wheels ground over the asphalt below as the vibrations shook my small happy body. I remember the faded and paint chipped blue bubblers that stood looking sad outside my primary school classroom window and the way the cool water would spurt in different directions, as I would sip during lunchtime of a summer’s afternoon. I can see the weaving and faded patterns of different coloured handball courts that wove through the playground. I remember the colour, feel and smell of my rug for ‘sleep time’ at preschool. Yet why is it that memories of late seem less vivid? They appear as faded VHS recorded moments with poor colour saturation and void of the associated smells, texture and emotion of the moment itself. Why is it that something I recall from five years ago may have less impact and detail as a memory from childhood? It is as if we go from directly experiencing the world to then experiencing it through a veil of modern day stress and mental noise. As we get older we give things labels. Likes and dislikes, wants and needs, pleasant and unpleasant and once we do this we no longer really every ‘see’ these now labelled things but experience them through a clouded lens of pre determined judgment that changes our entire view of the world. Never again do you experience things just as they are. Nothing is new anymore, everything has been done. We go from no longer seeing the beach but instead we see a place on dangerous rips, sharks and bluebottles. We no longer see the beautiful sun drenched day, but we see another day of exhausting heat, sunstroke and skin cancer. We don’t see the beautiful view as we gaze from the peak of a mountain but we see a dangerous height where one could fall and bush below where people get lost and die. It’s as if we go from the playground to inside the house where we dwell in what we are so sure we already know. At first we sit in a clean freshly painted white room with big clear windows through which we still interact with the world, but it’s different. We may still get a waft of spring wattle on the coming summer breeze that floats in through, but we won’t often venture outside to experience it directly. We stare out confused with that look of distracted interest you remember so well witnessing on your parents faces as they watched you play and you craved for attention in the yard outside. As time goes on the window gets a little dusty and the view through the dirty glass is a little more obscured. The clean new white room has changed and begins to fill with a few objects that grab your attention and distract you slightly from the outside world. Things of worry, concern or dismay fill the room and you begin to focus more on these things than the window now. Time moves on and again the window gets cloudier and the room fills with more objects that demand your attention as dust fills the corners and your own kids can be viewed outside the now even cloudier window as they glance back to see if you’re looking. But it’s hard, it’s really hard to be present and live in this moment. It’s hard to step outside this room and into the yard when there are so many issues. We live more and more in our own head than we do the actual world. Every now and then we fling open the windows and experience the world again. We are present for a tiny moment as we sit, smell the air and bath in the beauty of the garden but before long our mind takes over and we’re back indoors. In this modern age we are very rarely present. We don’t notice the details of everyday life as much as we should. We turn to art and media to tell us about the world and we sit in our air-conditioned comfort on our Ikea lounge suite and watch ‘the world’ brought to our living room. Or we may go to a gallery, theatre and other medium in which to qualify ourselves as ‘worldly’. However even the artist whose job it is to reflect our own world back to us reflects a fragmented version of his own preconceived idea of our world. Every now and then a masterpiece will be created. This usually happens when an artist is present long enough to notice the beauty and detail in an everyday object or place and is able to capture it free of pre conceived judgement and ideas and can reflect that experience back to us. When this happens it is astonishing because it communicates with our inner child linking directly back to a time of freedom, clarity, and happiness. It takes us to a time when we really did experience the world. This is the ultimate triumph for the artist. So how do we go back to experiencing the world as new? How do we get out of our minds because if we don’t you will be stuck in that room and it will get worse. / You will start to draw the curtains over the only window for fear the sun may fade the furniture and the room will fill with clutter that you begin to cling to. You associate yourself with these inanimate objects more than you do the real world. The dust builds, the cobwebs grow and you’re stuck in a cluttered room of material possessions that represent faded memories of a time when you used to live in the real world so you cling on to them harder. What’s the answer? Be present. Learn to tame your mind to stop its incessant noise and commentary. Try to simply view the world without judging. Enjoy the little things, bath in the detail, the sights, the smells, the texture the feeling. / Get out of the room and step into the garden, even if just to sit there. Otherwise the window will grow smaller and the world will change without you. Be present and observant like a child swinging on the cool smooth steel monkey bars smelling the fresh woodchips and thinking nothing else but that.

Hey mommy i was just going to go on red bubble when i decided to check my email first. Im so glad to hear that you love me and mitchell and we love you too. Mitchell told me to tell you, “Can we get some candyburgers mama?” lol i thot that was funny so i decided to tell you what he said when we were talkin about it. He also asked me to ask you if his ears were really that big lol. I love you mama and im gonna go on red bubble oh ps. im in an art class in school and were doing self portraits but they have to have a special quality to them describing our personalities and i thot i would paint it half way in black and white (for my simple beauty) and the other half wild bright random colors (for my crazy personality). Does that sound like a good idea or would you recomend i do something different? Itll be split right down the middle of my face. Oh and you have to answert is before the 12th because thats when i have to start doing it. The one thing I really have to tell you is to be true to yourself because that is what art is really about. What I think of your idea one way or another is only secondary to how you feel about it. I happen to think it is a fantastic idea. But what I am trying to say is that you must listen to yourself first. Do what feels natural to you. And do what you like. Then you can get feedback from others, but remember there feedback is nice to get a feel for what others think, but again the most valuable opinion is always the artists. Because it is your artwork and you have to live with it. There have been many times when someone said something critical about something I was working on. But I did not let their opinion stop me from doing what I was doing or what I felt comfortable with in my artwork. If you let their opinions or telling you what to do get in the way, then they will be running the ship, not you. Run your own ship. What colors does Claire like, what style does Claire like, what is Claire trying to say with this piece, what mood has Claire conveyed? Art is about your message to the world, and about how you see the world. Then let others comment, and take their comments with a grain of salt. Because everything you create is beautiful. Is someone does not like it or appreciate it, that is their problem. They can let you know, but you most certainly do not have to agree with them. And also do not let others tell you that they know more about art than you do, because truly Claire art is an experience…and there are all kinds of art out there. All kinds. Everything that you can imagine. So to answer your question, yes I think your idea is fantastic and I am excited to see the result. You have a super creative mind at work. But ultimately the opinion that should matter the most is your opinion, because it is your artworkl. Have fun in the creation process. I love you more than anything in the world. I have no money right now so I probably can not do this even though I want to. They, the bad people have kept me ill like this and in this place with no money for almost two years now. I have no money for anything I need and I am so sick. They are very bad people, I get so tired of them. Because they never stop taking jabs at me. I go in the bathroom downstairs to paint because that is the only thing I have to do and can do, and to get away from them, plus that I love art when I feel up to doing it, but they won’t even leave me alone down in the bathroom. They come in and harass me. They have let this infection go on in my body until I am afraid that I will never be well again. They have let me rot, and after you let something rot Claire you can not save it, all you can do is cut it out. They have ruined my health on purpose. I have no idea what the rest of my life is going to be like without my health. I do not look forward to feeling weak and awful for the rest of my life and I have no faith in the doctors because they delight in LYING AND ABUSING me. They have made my life a miserable mess. They should have got social insurance for me when I first came here, so I could have money but they made me sit and wait while they tortured me. I had already had to beg for medical care for the five years previous to coming here. Because they have not provided medical care for me on purpose now I am paying the price, with a rotting body. This could have been prevented instead it was caused. They try to pretend they are not responsible, when the truth is they are very responsible. They withheld medical care from me on purpose thus allowing an infection to spread in my body and do damage. They used it as a means of torture, control and abuse. They have made me sick and put me in this place with no income. I have needs and I have no faith in these people or that they are going to do the right thing like get the social insurance that I need so that I can have an income to buy things like a BOOK that I could read and share with my daughter. I should be able to buy that book to share with you Claire. But I cannot because these people keep trying to keep me powerless and then they prey on me. I should be able to take care of myself right now but I can not because they have been vicious to me and kept me from it by denying me health care and fair and decent employment. And thus you, Mitchell and I all pay. I can not even buy a book to read with my daughter because they have dragged their heels to get me the things I need, HEALTH CARE, EMPLOYMENT, BENEFITS. They always tell me I do not have the same rights that they do and I do not deserve these things while they abuse me, but at the same time they tell me that I am AN AMERICAN and thus I am supposed to follow the rules. They do not follow any rules, they do anything they want to me…they are hypocrites. That is why I can not even buy a book to read with my daughter. Not only are they hypocrites, they are filthy hypocrites because they constantly disrespect me sexually and try to take advantage of me sexually too. I am your mother. My body is your mother’s body. They have taken your mother’s body and hurt it on purpose. They have let it rot and made it sick. How do you feel about that? Angry? You should be. I am your beautiful mother, at least I was, but they have turned me green, old and ill with decay. How do you feel about that? Yes Claire, they are bad people. They get carried away with their power to abuse and manipulate and that is all they care about. If they cared about what is RIGHT, then they would do what is RIGHT and stop abusing and defaming me, and then lying about it. They abuse me almost every day Claire. Every day that I have been here I have had to put up with mind games, defamation, sexual abuse, medical care denial, and I have been made to live in tremendous fear while an infection crawls around in my body. That is why I cannot buy this book to read with you. Neither of us deserve this. I love you and Mitchell very much. I am sorry to tell you these things but in another sense I am not sorry to tell you these things for I want you to know the truth. The people who hurt me, hurt you. They will not stop. This is not coming from me, it is coming from them and they will not stop. Thus it effects and affects you and Mitchell. If I do not tell you about their foul behaviour then I am all alone to face illness and death, and they can get away with the bad things that they do. The only way I can protect myself is to cast light on the bad things that they do. That is why I know that GOD sent you to me Claire, because your name means BRIGHT GLORIOUS ILLUMINOUS LIGHT. Just joined, and already have several very nice comments from several of the artists. / I have just had a parent pass away just recently, and he never got a chance to see my artwork, an artist himself. My artwork has been a journey and reflection of different things, .....mostly healing, and raising conciousness. It’s hard for me to buy other’s art, as I don’t have a lot of money, but I sure do like admiring. A poet also, I used one of my art prints as the cover, and I’m very pleased with the way it came out. / Anyway, I’m a little crushed at the moment because of the loss, and I really never got a chance to say goodbye…...... / So, to my father…...If you ever get the chance to see my progress from the here and beyond, just know,...that I think I finally tried to get it together. Today is Monday, the 1st of June, its hard to believe that six months ago i was in Varanasi on a rooftop dancing to Hindi tracks that blarred repetitively into the misty night. For some reason today being a Monday, doesn’t feel like a Monday, I sit and wonder what is the reason for this, i realise that my dis-identification with the concept of time has really left me in a mental space with alot more flexibility and freedom, it is worth saying though that although I am not completely identified with time, I am still aware of its being there, the reality is that in this “relative reality” (the reality of forms and time, man made) we run by the clock time, which is all fine, but to realise that it is just a man made concept and not actually “reality” (formless, no space, no time) is somewhat liberating. But its been quite a hard thing to strike a balance, since discovering such truths. / On one extreme level we have monks, or spiritual gurus, whom dedicate their entire life to be living in the formless/timeless world, thats fine, but for us who do live in a regular Western society, where “time is money” is the slogan of the day and many people all around us are deeply identified with form, it is a little hard to see where it is that we can fit in. This is not aimed at giving any answers, but simply a discussion with myself (and for anyone that is interested in reading), aimed at articulating why time for me right now is not of absolute importance as it once used to be.

How do you keep this trilogy,not the father and son and the holy Spirit together.A different trilogy physical health ,spiritual life,mental health,together.Gee we all remember simply times when Star Wars was a trilogy but now it is the New Hope trilogy and the prequel.Back to the future is like the father son and the holy spirit (I miss ghost) that it has stayed a trilogy.A person can’t balance physical health ,spiritual life,mental health in modern times,what happened to the five day work week for one reason,it now at least six.I know God rested on seventh day,but he did not mow his lawn ,the creator rested and watched a movie or something.Well technology does not make life easier,probably the medical field is the only place technological advancement continue to make easier.Cell phone change too much and personnel computers also.I guess television needed to change,all this change to analog to digital helps the environment.So some change is good,but how do I change like digital television and better balance physical health ,spiritual life,mental health like the Father and Son and the Holy Spirit.
