Hello my Friends….Spirituality has been over taking my life and having such huge effects on my being that the only way I could even come close to expressing these feelings is through Fractal Art…..to me perception and consciousness are beautiful gifts and we should no longer waist ourselves in this everyday 9 to 5 material world…we have a higher purpose that is not being fulfilled….we each have a beautiful soul that screams to be set free….set your soul free, be the beautiful, wonderful being you really are, never let society constrict you, conform you and imprison your soul….love and light are my guides as I reach for the moment of my own ascending consciousness….let hope spring eternal in your hearts….. / As Always, / In Light and Love, / Leah /

Here is the opposite end of the coin when it comes to my prelims for our next assignment, this is the good guy. There will be two paintings one with the dark man and one with this one. You cannot actually see the details in this photo of this, it has lightning around him that you cannot see :(

An Algonquin Legend~ The Great Earth Mother had two sons, Glooskap and Malsum. Glooskap was good, wise, and creative; Malsum was evil, selfish, and destructive. When their mother died, Glooskap went to work creating plants, animals, and humans from her body. Malsum, in contrast, made poisonous plants and snakes. As Glooskap continued to create wonderful things, Malsum grew tired of his good brother and plotted to kill him. In jest, Malsum bragged that he was invincible, although there was one thing that could kill him: the roots of the fern plant. He badgered Glooskap for days to find the good brother’s vulnerability. Finally, as Glooskap could tell no lies, he confided that he could be killed only by an owl feather. Knowing this, Malsum made a dart from an owl feather and killed Glooskap. The power of good is so strong, however; that Glooskap rose from the dead, ready to avenge himself. Alive again, Glooskap also knew that Malsum would continue to plot against him. Glooskap realized that he had no choice but to destroy Malsum in order that good would survive and his creatures would continue to live. So he went to a stream and attracted his evil brother by loudly saying that a certain flowering reed could also kill him. Glooskap then pulled a fern plant out by the roots and flung it at Malsum, who fell to the ground dead. Malsum’s spirit went underground and be-came a wicked wolf-spirit that still occasionally torments humans and animals, but fears the light of day. / Encaustic painting/ photographs scanned and layered /

I must say I didn’t think of this saying “Prayer…the perfect wireless service”, it is on a message sign outside one of the churches on your way into our town, I added the No Connection Fees No Drop Calls. It did get me thinking though for the past week, I have had to see this saying daily, each time I go to town. It gives me chills every time, and makes me feel so at ease, comforted, and just overall joyed! So I thought about making this image for a few days now, and after today…..I knew I had to do it & share it with the world!!! This is me in prayer….saying thank you to GOD, I just set the self timer as I was praying so it would capture a true moment. Kurrunpa is an Australian Aboriginal (central-desert region) word; loosely translated, meaning, “(good) Spirit”, or “life-force”, perhaps somewhat similar to that of the Chinese, Taoist word “chi” or “breath”, also as in Judea-Christian teaching, ”..first there was the breath…”, and such-like? No matter, I love the word and sound of Kurrunpa — the K being a “ga” sound, with a roll on the R’s, finishing with a “puh” — and the way/context when it is used… ** / “book background” Stock, courtesy of Synroid

We come here on our journey through the ages, suffering incredible hardships, fighting battles, often bearing the weight of the world on our shoulders and in our hearts, yet also doing great things, learning profound lessons and feeling the depths of both pain and joy. Lifetime after lifetime, we come back and do it again, trying to balance the love and the fear, hurting, healing, changing, struggling, evolving, overcoming, yet always wondering what this grand journey is all about. What pitiful little travelers we have been, plodding blindly through time with tears in our eyes. If only we knew the answer was something so very simple. We might just have done it a long time ago and saved ourselves a world of heartache. And got on with the real meaning of our existence. / ... / .. / We simply must let go of everything and just learn to love ourselves. / ... / .. / . So come on, drop the need to judge everyone around you so that you might temporarily feel a little better, stop looking at your reflection in others, not liking what you see, hell, stop looking in the mirror not liking what you see! Cast off the phony layers and acts, and the petty judgments, dispense with the blame and shame games, and most of all, be done with the disease of outrage that is spreading through our planet. Quit looking at what others have done or are doing and allowing outrage to colour your vision…….and then spread indignation to the next person. Outrage or In-rage, neither serve you or this planet. You do not need any of these things. None of them will make You genuinely feel better. The sooner we leave these old ways behind, the sooner we will be free and able to fly into the new energies that are unfolding for us at this time. You simply have to learn to love YOU. No ifs and buts, no excuses. / You are all you have and you are the one true thing that will last for the rest of your life. Time to face facts. Only YOU are capable of giving that great love that you seek and only you deserve the great love that you hold the capacity to give. Get this idea right and its all free flight from here….... Isn’t it time you made your own life easier?
