Here is my utmost. This is were life ends and death begins. It’s were death ends and life begins. In one picture is pain, suffering, injustice, judgment, helplessness, betrayal and the deepest sorrow; and yet there is an equal amount of hope, tenderness, compassion, forgiveness and healing. Here is a painting which captures the sacrificial love of Christ on behalf of helpless humanity, born and unborn. Philippians 2:6 says, “Christ who, existing in the form of G-d, counted not the being on an equality with G-d a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men; and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.”

HOPE / Hope still walks beside me on the road / Her gentle company eases the miles / And lightens the load a little. / On days of unwashed clothes and unkempt hair / She sometimes seems a little unprepared, / Yet mismatched shoes can still skip / And callused hands can still warm to the touch / Of love’s tender potential. / Some days her mind seems elsewhere / But when our eyes meet, / She is quick to smile, / And through her windows / The light burns brightly / For anyone who cares to share. / Hope is never pretty / But always beautiful, / She is a silhouette in an open doorway, / A soft touch as sleep dissolves / A memory that lingers in the folds of your heart. / She is the exhale of a sigh, / The softening of shoulders / To imagined caress, / The trickle of water at the source / Of a mighty river. / Hope never looks in the mirror, / Indeed, she looks beyond, / For she holds her own reflection / In a place I have yet to find. / Sometimes weary, / She falls behind, / Engulfed in the shadows of the past; / Sits down to rest in the settling dust. / A time-worn traveller, she fades from my view / As I continue on unaware. / Somewhere in the chill / I miss her hand in mine / And sit down by the roadside to wait. / In the stillness, / The road continues to pass me by / Regardless, / And if I close my eyes I can be / Wherever I wish to go and whomever / I choose to be, / Yet somehow the one I open my eyes to / Is me. / In these fragile precious moments / When quiet enters me and wraps my soul / In the solace of silence / And the road has lost its urgency, / I look up to find her standing there. / We hug / Old friends, / The holding hands, continue on our way. / Some days Hope takes her own path, / But most days, she still walks beside me. / She lives in me / And I live in Hope…

I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “ Whom shall I send, / And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” / Isaiah 6:8 To me this means about dying to self so God can send you out into the world and show the world how much Jesus loves others. This is the great send off! Charcoal drawing, photo and Apophysis layers Gaia – she is rising they shovelled her screams into the pit of silence / and told her nothing was wrong / but she is waking they told her beauty was skin shaven clean / and denuded her of her undergrowth / but she is remembering encased in her corset of asphalt, they dressed her / in roads and cities for their pleasure / but she is rising she is rising like the mist on a clear, cold morning / millennia of sleep fall away from her like grieving / in the light of her regard nothing keeps its meaning / Gaia – she is rising

For Tammy! This wonderful poem of her inspired me to do this image.! I forgave you yesterday for hurtful words / today, I compromised for affection / I’ll forgive you tomorrow / and lose more faith in my beliefs… I forgave you yesterday for hateful touch / knowing today I would not meet success / Tomorrow’s just another day / is my fears’ mantra under my breath… I forgive you for yesterday / BUT Today – here and now / I feel strong enough to survive / on my own and thrive into tomorrow / learning from my past ! I forgive myself and allow “presence” / to be guarded by yesterdays / guided by love today / and valued in life tomorrow… With love and gratitude / I walk in our “PEACE”. tkrosevear 4/22/2009 MUSIC That’s not the beginning of the end / That’s the return to yourself / The return to innocence / Love – Devotion / Feeling – Emotion / Love – Devotion / Feeling – Emotion / Don’t be afraid to be weak / Don’t be too proud to be strong / Just look into your heart my friend / That will be the return to yourself / The return to innocence / If you want, then start to laugh / If you must, then start to cry / Be yourself don’t hide / Just believe in destiny / Don’t care what people say / Just follow your own way / Don’t give up and use the chance / To return to innocence / That’s not the beginning of the end / That’s the return to yourself / The return to innocence / Don’t care what people say / Follow just your own way Follow just your own way / Don’t give up, don’t give up / To return, to return to innocence. / If you want then laugh / If you must then cry / Be yourself don’t hide / Just believe in destiny. / fractals created with Apophysis

It’s time now for the harvest! And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. ~ Galatians 6:9 Those who sow in tears / Shall reap in joy. ~Psalm 126:5 Stock Credits: / Textures here here and here / Flower here
A Window of Compassion…. Avalokiteshvara is the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhas…One who empathizes with all living and suffering upon the face of the Earth so much so that he refrained from his own blissful attainment to become a Buddha until he had saved all the creatures of the Earth. / His mission – to listen to the prayers of all sentient beings and assist them to reach Nirvana – a state of ultimate bliss and the end of suffering. IN Tibetan Buddhism, he is also known as Chenrezig – Tibetan Buddhists believe the Dalai Lama to be the incarnation of Chenrezig. The Chinese depict this deity as the Goddess of Compassion Quan Yin. Whether Indian, Tibetan, Chinese, or simply one who chooses no cultural banner, the gift of compassion is a basic human right and aspiration…. to open one’s heart to non-judgment, unconditional love, forgiveness, joy and the overwhelming kindness that is symbolized by this deity is intrinsic to our very being. It is in the giving and receiving of compassion that the flow of all life on this planet is ensured. May you walk in beauty and the light of compassion…...
The Green Man is an ancient pagan symbol of our relationship to the plant kingdom. Men become tree-like, and the Green Man sports plants and leaves and boughs growing from his mouth or beard or his hair. / In the Green Man we have an archetype for our relationship to both the cosmos and the Earth – to Father Sky and Mother Earth. Plants are born from and connect the two. Plants are, like us, cosmic beings; they guarantee that the sun’s generous efforts to pour its energy over the earth are not in vain. The Sun finds ready receptivity in the plants. / Interestingly, the archetype of the Green Man also respects silence and introspection, which are common traits among farmers and indigenous peoples, those who remain close to the land. The Green Man honors for us how rich and deep the roots of nature are, telling us that we need to germinate under the soil, in the silence of our hearts.
