Inspired by OneRepublic’s Apologize click here to hear song I’m holding on your rope / got me ten feet off the ground / and I’m hearing what you say / but I just can’t make a sound You tell me that you need me / Then you go and cut me down, but wait / You tell me that your sorry / Didn’t think I’d turn around and say That it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late / I said it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late. I’d take another chance take a fall / take another shot for you / And I need you like a heart needs a beat / but that’s nothing new I loved you with a fire red, now it’s turning blue / And you say sorry like the angel / Heaven let me think was you / But I’m afraid That it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late. / I said it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late.

... ” Our lives are made in these small hours, in these little wonders. These twists and turns of fate. Time falls away, but these small hours.. these small hours still remain…” Excerpt from the Song “Little Wonders” by Rob Thomas. This song always makes me think of my son, who is walking along the beach in this shot.

When was the last time a moment was taken to sit down and admire the beauty around you? To soak in the setting sun, to listen to a child laugh, or allow a quiet breeze to kiss your cheek. When was the last you counted your blessings, and felt rich just because you were alive? When was the last time you really noticed the beauty around you, and knew that it was created by a loving Father in Heaven just for you. If this were your last day on earth, could you really say that you had lived and appreciated all life has to offer? When was the last time….. Picture taken at Moss Landing California

Photograph of Lake Lowell just outside Nampa ID, where I grew up. I used to cut school when I was in Jr. High with some friends and come out here and go swimming. This was taken this November just after sunrise. Comments are always welcome.

Inspired by song Time by Sarah McLachlan. To hear song click here Time here, / all but means nothing, just shadows that move across the wall / They keep me company, but they don’t ask of me / they don’t say nothing at all. / And I need just a little more silence / And I need just a little more time / But you send your thieves to me / silently stalking me / dragging me into your wall / Would you give me no choice in this? / I know you can’t resist, trying to reopen a sore. Leave me be, I don’t want to argue / I’d just get confused and I’d come all undone / If I agree, well, it’s just to appease you / cause I don’t remember what were fighting for. You see love—a tight, thorny thread that you spin in a circle of gold. / You have me to hold me / a token for all to see / captured to be yours alone / And I need just a little more silence / And I need just a little more time / The courage to pull away / There will be hell to pay / the deeper you cut to the bone. Leave me, be I don’t want to argue / I’d just get confused and I’d come all undone / If I agree, well, it’s just to appease you / cause I don’t remember what we’re fighting for. Time here, / all but means nothing / just shadows that move across the wall / They keep me company / but they don’t ask of me / they don’t say nothing at all

This is an older image I found and edited a few days ago… I am not sure how many of you have seen “The Phantom of the Opera” the movie, ( I personally prefer the play but I thought the movie was very well done) some of the filming in that movie inspired me in this.

Father and Son, watching the sunset on the beach. I have added a dry brush effect as I wanted this to have more of the appearance of a painting. Comments are welcome, Images may not be used or copied without my express written permission.

Model: Lissette / Location: Hollister CA, an old condemned school that is going to be converted to government buildings. Oh, I realize the background is uneven… that is how the building is….any suggestions are welcome as to how to even it out without taking from the shot.

I did a little work on this.. thought I would at least put it up before Valentines Day got near. “Let me not to the marriage of true minds / Admit impediments. Love is not love / Which alters when it alteration finds, / Or bends with the remover to remove: / O no! it is an ever-fixed mark / That looks on tempests and is never shaken; / It is the star to every wandering bark, / Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken. / Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks / Within his bending sickle’s compass come: / Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, / But bears it out even to the edge of doom. / If this be error and upon me proved, / I never writ, nor no man ever loved.” Shakespeare

I have been meaning to repost this. After the fairytale is a tribute to when the wedding is done, the honeymoon is over, and the rose color glasses come off. Life starts, and though it is hard, it is well worth it.

I was listening to a song the other day, and one of the lines read: / ” I want a moment to be real, / Wanna touch things I don’t feel, / Wanna hold on and feel I belong. / And how can the world want me to change, / They’re the ones that stay the same. / The can’t see me, / ‘but I’m still here.” It was this line that inspired this piece… Comments are welcome.

One of the most quoted sayings about eyes is that they are the window to the soul. The eyes, in my opinion, tell the character and the state of spirit that a person is really in. You can mask everything else, but the eyes tell you what a person really is and feels deep inside.
