Having put my back out a few days ago, its been hard for me to get round, so out come the Omax Close Up Lenses to do a bit of macro work indoors. / After watering the Miniature Roses, and giving them a ‘Shower’, I couldn’t resist getting a couple of shots. / For a slightly different view, I attached my ‘Fish Eye’ on as well. Hope you like it. / Thanks for looking. Best Viewed Large.
Richmond Bridge is a lasting symbol of Tasmania’s convict heritage. The sandstone arches of Australia’s oldest known large stone arch bridge have spanned Tasmania’s Coal River since its completion in 1825. Built by convict labour, the Richmond Bridge reminds us of the forced migration that contributed to the development of Australian society. Richmond Bridge was included in the National Heritage List on 25 November 2005.

taken at point Nepean National Park, victoria, Australia, awesum world war site, plenty of bunkers and tunnels to explore…
darker version.
Taken deep in the under ground bunkers and tunnels of point Nepean National Park in Victoria Australia….Fort Nepean contains an extensive system of fortifications built from the 1880s through to the World War 1 and World War 2. Interpretive displays and audiovisuals are located in several areas and tell the story of defence. Over the years, including the last 40,000 years of Aboriginal occupation, the area known as Point Nepean has become enriched with environmental and cultural history. The Quarantine Station was established on the shores of Port Phillip Bay in 1852. It was used to protect the colony of Melbourne from ship borne diseases. There may still be unexploded ordnance in the Point Nepean area. Keep to roads and tracks and observe signs.

I had a nice apophysis, added a lense flare, thought there was something missing to be art. So I did a fractal trace of the apophysis and came up with this! Invasion of, uh, the killer italian tomatoes? I don’t know, use your imagination. : ) / I think Tammy had a good idea. I should call it “Invasion of the red bubbles”,thanks Tammy.
For Austria Group: The reflection of the Ötscher Tops on the cameralense of a friend of mine. / It was taken inside the Ötscher Gräben which are also known as the “Austrian Grand Canyon”. It is a great leisure, walking, wandering area in spring, summer & fall :D For Photography 101: Make: Canon / Model: Canon EOS 10D / Shutter Speed: 1/1500 second / F Number: F/4.0 / Focal Length: 48 mm / ISO Speed: 1600 / Date Picture Taken: Sep 29, 2007, 2:11:18 PM For Photography 101 and all others who are interested… / I have to admit, I was very surprised by the clear outcome, especially since I did mess up the ISO a bit ;c) ... Eitherway, the high ISO forced me to close the aparture a bit wider (though F4 isn’t all too wide). But that provided the focused spot on the lense’s reflection while still maintaining a relatively clear background. / The picture turned out to be over exposed by only half a point, and I was able to change that in post processing. There was a bit of a flare on the lense, which I was able to reduce with Photoshop’s Adjustment layers, Curves. I filled the layer black and reduced the colouring with the help of the colour sample tool, to closely match the surroundings. All this I learned with the help of my BF (who is quite the PS whiz and who showed me those tricks :c) ... ) / Apart from that, there was no layer merging involved. It’s one picture, just the way it was out of the camera :c)
