  • An old church in Leicester st, Fitzroy that caught my eye.

  • Leicester St, Fitzroy.

  • Taken from my trusty high rise window – AGAIN

  • Taken up the escalators at London Underground, cant remember which one, we were all a bit random yesterday! Might have been Leicester Square?

  • Leicester 2008

  • Foston Lodge from Kilby Bridge in Leicestershire, under threatening stormy skies which dropped their load moments later. The farmland here lies next to the Grand Union canal, and is a catchment for the River Sence, which frequently floods, adding to the loads of the rivers Soar and Trent. This is my local area – a hunting ground of mixed fortunes photographically.

  • Bradgate Park, Leicestershire, UK – expanses of Bracken, interspersed with Oak. / A study of light on the landscape

  • A simple moment in time, life’s beauty, and a oneness with the greater world.

  • Another rural Leicestershire image – at least it isnt Oilseed Rape, Wheat, Barley or Grass – I found something else instead! The location is just to the East of Barkby on the Eastern side of Leicester. The light on the oats, is mainly down to a recently finished bout of fine drizzle, and the droplets reflecting the sun breaking through.

  • Taken between Peatling Parva and Willoughby Waterlees, I found myself green laning in the dark, in uncharted territory this evening, and quite an adventure it turned out to be – some potentially unusual views to be taken advantage of when the light is different – heres hoping I can find the track again!

  • Back to the Leicester rural landscapes…..... / This was taken near the village of Ashby Magna. My timing could have been better – storm in the morning, sun at lunch, big fluffy clouds early afternoon, grey overcast later, then this. It is the opposite corner of the field in which I took Harvests Final Curtain a few days earlier.

  • You step out of a limo and suddenly are assailed by a barrage of camera flashes, noise and fans. On one level it must be a nice validation, but on another surely you’d prefer it if things were a bit quieter? Hard to imagine what this feels like… Features (and could arguably be the standout image) in my 2010 Movie Premieres Calendar

  • Leicester. My car had its MOT today, so i went a-wandering to see what i could find…

  • Cropston Reservoir, illuminated some 8 miles outside the city by the light pollution from Leicester. Whilst the orange Sodium glow is visible to the naked eye at night, only with long exposures does it truly show…... / No chance of star trails whatever!

  • Charlie Chaplin’s statue stands in Leicester Square, London. I photographed this one cold, overcast day near Christmas on my way to a doing a publicity shoot for my son. Canon 10D / 1/60th f5.6<br />28-200mm 40mm / ISO 400

  • It’s Oscars time, so I figured I’d post some of the shots I’ve been lucky enough to take at various movie premieres in London over the past year or so. This is Nicole Kidman – 1 Oscar Nominations and a Win (The Hours – 2003) Photo taken at the Premiere for Australia And features in my 2010 Movie Premieres Calendar

  • Summer breezes waft gently over growing barley near Lubbesthorpe, Leicestershire, UK, whilst an old Oak tree holds its place in the hedgerow beyond, watching hundreds of years of constant change. Sadly, this scene may soon be lost under concrete and brick as the city expands further to cater for our seemingly complex needs.

  • Megan Fox, at the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Premiere, London. 15 June 2009 The photo also features in my 2010 Movie Premieres Calendar

  • Old John, Bradgate Park, Leicestershire

  • Johnny Depp at the Public Enemies Premiere in London, 2009 This photo also features in my 2010 Movie Premieres Calendar

  • Photography at movie premieres is not just about the stars, it’s about the stars in a public environment. You can have dozens of press photographers catching identical saccharine / vanilla poses, but to really appreciate these events you have to shoot from a different angle, see it as the crowd sees it, and hope like hell that your camera can focus quickly enough to capture those fleeting moments… / / Stars featured include: / - Charlize Theron / - Johnny Depp / - Nicole Kidman / - Quentin Tarantino / - Kate Winslet / - Will Smith / - Al Pacino Feedback appreciated, incidentally!

  • The typewriter is my mom’s old ‘Imperial Good Companion’, which dates from the late 60’s / early70’s – they stopped production at the factory in 1974. Taken with lensbaby 3G and both +4 and +10 macro adapters. The only processing is the mono conversion. Featured in the Weekend Photographer and Extreme Close Ups groups, November 2009. Homepage feature December 2009
