Lots of nonsense to go over this week so maybe I should get started, keep it short and save all of us some time as I have no doubt that many of you have better things to do than read my endless, needlessly wordy nonsense, right? Of course I’m right. It’s just like I tell my wife, “I’m always right, all of the time, get used to it.” This statement usually ends with me in the fetal position on the floor after being punched in the stomach. I don’t bother to get up because I’d be spending the rest of the night there anyway. ;) Okay, first up my online pal and creepy sometimes stalker Rhana Griffin dedicated an entire journal entry to me. (See…I told you she was a stalker). It’s aptly titled Steven Novak is a Douchebag (A name that believe it or not, I suggested). Feel free to have a read, and stay to take a look at her photography as well because she’s pretty good. (Ohhh man it hurt to type that. Hurt bad. Hurt like the aftermath of my vasectomy bad.) Next up I made another T-Shirt sale this morning to yet another mystery buyer. To whoever purchased The Blood Lusting Blocko, I’d like to shake your hand. It’s sweaty. There’s some paint on it. I might squeeze a little too hard in a pathetic attempt to seem more “manly,” but I’d like to shake it nonetheless. Thank you! Lastly, in one of the most pathetic happenings since Paris Hilton tried to record an album a couple weeks ago I purchased one of my own shirts. I really just wanted to see the quality of the printing (which I found to be pretty good) but I will no doubt wear it around town like a jerk hoping beyond hope that someone asks me, “Hey, where’d you get that shirt?” I’ll chuckle happily under my breath and reply “I made it.” To which they will respond with, “Cool, you’re awesome.” Which will prompt me to say, “Yes, I know.” ;) Anyway, here’s a lame picture of me in the shirt. (Which takes the lameness of buying it to exciting, new levels of lame). Steve~

We had a scavenger hunt over in the Riginals group which required lots of hunting and searching and eventually finding then gathering. Congratulations to Juilee Pryor and Marilyn Brown ... they came first and second respectively. Thanks to Anne and ThickBlackOutline for the challenge! It certainly made the ol’ grey matter do some work, but it was fun looking for things I thought were somewhere but had moved. I wouldn’t move stuff then forget where I put it!! I also want to thank my Dad for collecting pennies and Zac for keeping them after his Grandad had given them to him!! But then, Zac doesn’t chuck anything out!! It’s hard enough getting him to pull apart lego to rebuild into something else (he’s getting better at that though). If you haven’t seen the entries to this challenge, float over to the Riginals Forum to have a look! Juilee and Marilyn found heaps of stuff!!!

When ever I buy a tee on Redbubble, I always leave a note to the designer I bought it off just to let them know how cool I think their work is. Strangely though I’ve never received a reply so I don’t know even if they ever received my note. / / Just now someone bought 4 of my Lego t-shirts in different colours and I’d like to thank you whoever you are from the bottom of my heart. / / It cools me out no end to wake up to this news! / / In the last week I’ve sold 10 tee shirts and it seems like I sell at least one a day now but I’m taking a bit of a break with the designs for a few weeks while I get on with some real work and gather my thoughts and do the research for the next round of designs. / / So stay tuned to the Spikerama Station and thanks to you mystery buyer. You made my weekend. / / Spike / Out

Memories of our last moments together on Friday, 29 May. I’m sure they had a great time but they sure do like to eat!!! Zac went off to school as usual, so while I got ready (showered and dressed) to take them to the post office (for their passport stamp), the shops (for a pressie and postcards) and finally to Cathie I thought they might like to have a play with other friends of Zac and Socks. I introduced them to our Tassie Devil. They all got really excited (should have introduced them earlier maybe) and had deep and meaningful discussions (growlings) about where they came from. / Tassie then showed them Zac’s collection of Garfields… / / Just a few of them. A couple of the orange kittees didn’t make it to the group hug because they heard that devils don’t like cats. Stuffed cats just don’t hold the attention of RnR as well as Socks does, so they went exploring around the bedroom. / It didn’t take them long to find the lego… of course, having their own personal tourguide helps!! / Somebody should have told them that sharks bite back… / More lego was found in another set of drawers… / and upon finding a majestic and powerful Wizard, RnR offered to spare his life if he told their fortunes… / Some Tasmanian Devils just don’t like being told what to do or where to go (I mean, really… they shouldn’t have asked, should they!!). / So upon being told that they’re to go on a really long journey and to stop trying to eat cats or they’d be sorry, Rogue n Rascal ate the Wizard. / So much for majestic and powerful… they even ate his crystal ball. / As we all know, retail therapy helps, so I whisked them out of the house before Socks could have a go at them for eating Zac’s lego. / I have to say, RnR have great taste… they bought Cathie a gorgeous fairy and me a plaque to remind me that the journey is more important than the destination. / / So they do have a sweet side… not that anyone sees it very often. Devils like to be known as tough and viscious!!! Of course, travelling in Adelaide is always done in style… / Eventually, they made it to Cathie’s home… / Only Cathie knows what happened to them after this moment. But I bet they had a totally fantastic time… after all. Cathie has a really really big dog!! Bigger than Ruffles even, and with sharper teeth!!! Farewell, Rogue n Rascal. I wish you many grand adventures all over the world. It was wonderful (but exhausting) having you visit. Bon Voyage!!!

This just made me laugh, as kids know no bounds when imagination’s concerned. My 4 year old yesterday decided that her little Squirrel toy should be dressed in a rather fetching little jacket (stolen from some other little toy). Within about two minutes, we’d moved from there to Squirrel having a house, the house becoming a car, and then the house hurtling down the hallway to kick a ball. I scored the most goals :) Stay in touch Subscribe to T-Shirt Updates Subscribe to my T-Shirt blog | visit the blog
