  • This beautiful shell was collected on a island in the Coral Cays called North West Island (because it is Northwest of Herron Island aparantly). / I never really understood peoples desire to collect shells until one holiday when I went to this tiny island (you can walk around it in about one and a half hours – strolling) and saw the beautiful shapes and colours and patterns that were on – and in – the shells…..thus started my obsession (ok – I admint it ~ passion) to collect shells whenever on holidays at the beach. / I especially like to use the macro lens to bring out the details that can be easily missed with the naked eye and chose the black background to bring out the beautiful details and patterns in this shell. / ENJOY.

  • This photo was taken just under the Customs house in Brisbane.

  • Story Bridge Brisbane

  • Took this on my morning walk – had to sit on the ground and get in a fairly unusal position to capture this shot as the leaf was below my sitting height. Needless to say it stopped traffic – there was a truck driver who couldn’t believe his eyes. What one does to get that shot. / The reflection is the leaves under the waterdrop. No photoshop (water added etc) has been done to this picture.

  • Decided to take some pictures of my dinner cooking – love the wooden spoon. It ended up being Beef Vindaloo. Took this using the macro lens.

  • hand held macro taken out in the country. Again, this little yellow butterfly would only have been about 1.2 – 1.5 cm tall as you can see by comparing it to the blade of grass. The only touch up on this one was a little sharpening to help bring out his little brown spots on his wings.

  • Taken at Newstead Park. I used my macro twin lite mt-24ex flash to help capture this picture. These bugs are a useful bug in keeping the pest population down and are active for basically all of the year in QLD. This work is a macro photo which is ‘untouched’ – how you see it is how it came off the camera. My passion is macro photography and capturing pictures of what’s alive in the garden is also a great passion. It’s a great joy to be able to combine both loves.

  • Taken at Blueys Beach just after sunrise.

  • Get a load of how tiny this frog is! Eastern Sedgefrog / Litoria fallax

  • Taken on a walk around the neighbourhood. Untouched macro. It always brings a smile to my face to be able to look at details that one would miss with the naked eye. It’s a great passion to be able to share. This is a hand held macro.

  • Another creek photo… I think this is some sort of dragonfly whose legs are very very long.

  • Probably the world’s best known rose. This rose has large crystal-white fragrant blooms. This rose flowers continuously all season. This roses’ ability to withstand disease resiistance makes it one of the most popular roses to grow.

  • This little one was no more than 8 – 10mm long and it had managed to capture it’s lunch which turned out to be a wasp. Haven’t seen this brown coloured sort before – it has a really nice pattern on its abdomen.

  • An idea of what the secretary bird acually looks like.

  • Alex Legg and my gorgeous sister Carol McCoy live at The Scarab Bar in Belgrave, Victoria, Australia under the cusp of an Aries moon My goddess! The energies flowing that night were just mindblowing! / Thanks for the music my friends:)
