Australia
Taken at Wakki Beach. This place really does exist – near Scotts Head on the North Coast of NSW, Australia. SOLD one extra large canvas print – thanks to the buyer
This one is for those who were with me who chose to exercise while I took photos – makes no sense to me …. but I promised to share my impressions of Barwon Heads. Also to Linda who, against her better judgement, dragged herself out of bed to drive me down to the beach.
As people age, they often talk about how they become invisible to those around them, especially politicians and shop assistants. Both colour and reflection are used here to highlight one who is not invisible.
Took this one in Glasgow – separate entrances for boys and girls. I was imagining how young children felt as they entered this scary building and used the angle to capture from a child’s perspective. The clouds added a very ominous look to the scene. Tried this one in B&W – seems to have more impact than the colour version.
Taken near Cathedral Rocks, Kiama, NSW. This is a superb area for photography if you are ever down this way.
A stunning place near Portsea, Victoria. / Title with apologies to Mel … couldn’t resist!
Colour version
This was taken at Barwon Heads, just past Geelong in Victoria.

Amazing sky taken at dawn north coast NSW
Fishermen near Southbeach, Wollongong on the south coast of NSW waiting for the first catch of the day. I love the peacefulness of this scene.
The Nan Tien Temple in Berkeley, near Wollongong, Australia is known as “Southern Paradise”. It is the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere, and provides a spiritual link between east and west. A wonderful place for photography and for timeout for meditation. http://www.nantien.org.au/en/index.asp
Digital Xprocessing treatment – inspired by the cross-processed-photography group / but have processed a mono image to create this effect.
This balloon appeared from nowhere, dropped and floated over our heads while we were busy chasing another one in Canberra early one morning
Taken in Vietnam in a small village up in the northern area. He was obviously very attached to his buffalo and climbed on her back and posed for me but I rather liked this one afterwards where he was about to go and just gave her one more pat before heading off.
Dawn at Seven Mile Beach near Gerroa on the south coast of NSW
Staying at Mollymook, on the south coast NSW for work last week and I couldn’t believe what a gorgeous area it is. For me this captures the very first light after the sun peeks over the horizon – the reflection on the rocks and the cool green water strike a wonderful contrast.
Early morning in Brisbane outside Custom House. I love the light on the old sandstone walls as people ran or walked. Clearly the warm weather effects some people differently!
