Light trails of the standby LED of my computer monitor’s on/off switch in the “Off” state (orange). The international symbol for an on/off switch (a broken circle with a vertical bar through the break) can be seen in bright outline. A five second exposure at macro focus distance and aperture of f/8 with smooth slow camera movement by hand produced the swirling light trails. Copyright © 2008 Brian W. Out on a hike in the hills surrounding Machynlleth, UK. ....... / This derelict farm gave way to the forestry commission, you can see the pine forest approaching ….. an interesting fact is, the rock group Led Zeppelin, after completing a world tour, decided to chill and stay at a property called ’ Bron y aur ’ , which just happens to be a short way down a track from here. It was there that they wrote their album ’ Led Zeppelin III ’, which, contains the track ’ Bron y aur stomp ’. The latest occupant, which happens to be a vicar, is displeased by the confiscation of roof tiles etc., by worldwide fans, who are seeking a momento of the groups stay ….... I found this freak inside some old abandoned house…. Actually, it is my good friend Phill who helps me with my pictures. Poor guy always gets stuck posing in them. We did this shoot in an old abandoned house located in Japan. Info: Shot with a Canon 400D. This picture is straight from the camera with no editing or post processing. The lighting was done with LEDs, cathodes, and gelled flashes. The ‘fiz-iks’ logo was done with a flash and a stencil.

Carnival night in Dawlish. / This young man was playing with a small LED, and I liked the effect. With an ISO of 3200, and white balance set to Tungsten, hand held at 1/8 and f5.6, I was quite pleased with how this turned out. Apart from a small crop and sharpened, nothing else has been done to this. Surprising what effect you can get with some very cheap lighting, a steady hand, and some imagination. / Real Budget Photography !!! Hope you like it. / Thank you for looking. Best Viewed Large.

9×12 watercolor and colored pencil on watercolor paper This is another piece inspired by a Led Zeppelin song, Going to California. Particularly the lines “someone told me there’s a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair”. And then there is that purely esoteric line “Children of the sun begin to awake.” / The ancient Incans called themselves The Children of the Sun. They had legends of a white bearded man that came from ancient Lemuria and brought to them the great spiritual knowledge of Lemuria. Many believe that it is the souls of Lemuria that are awaking now(The Children of the Sun) and are bringing us into the New Age of Peace and Enlightenment. I wonder if Plant knew all this when he wrote those lyrics.
