Most of the leaves in my back garden are brown and dead, and though they make fantastic subjects with the frost on them, I spotted this little group of autumn coloured leaves with the frost dancing on the top, like a glistening party in the few rays of light coming through the thick clouds that hung over me in the sky. I love this shot and i hope you do as well! Canon EOS-1Ds Mark ll / Sigma 150mm Macro lens / f/2.8 / 1/60 sec. / Exposure Bias -1.00 / ISO 100

An image with a message in it for me at least. I hope you enjoy. A trio of cottonwood leaves frzone into the ice along the Yakima River. One gold, 2 orange, one pointed West and 2 pointed North. A lesson in diversity of color and direction from nature. There is beauty in all!
We never thought this day would come, / But it’s finally here at last, What once was our bright future, / Is now are dim-lit past, But we hold onto the memories, / The lessons that we learned, The pathways we have traveled down, / The corners that we turned, And soon we say our sad goodbyes, / That will last us forever, We may see each other again, / Maybe once or maybe never, So make your goodbyes ones to remember, / The kind that will stay in their heads, Those are the goodbyes they will treasure, / The ones that were sad to be said.

I’m usually not a fan of too many special effects applied to photos… But today I felt like making something “dreamy”. Probably won’t kill me to have one of these in my gallery, heh.
