As the water passes by me so does the Autumn season. By the time I am able to return to this spot the colors will have mostly been blown unto the winds. Seasons pass so quickly, much as our lives if we live for today and not for eternity. Well, I spotted this out on my Saturday hike from above and scouted for a way down into the capture the scene. What I found was a impenetrable blend of steep banks and thick brush covered in Poison Ivy and Devils Club. Common sense told me to let it go but in the end I slid down using my tripod as a walking stick and managed to get to waters edge with both feet and behind a bit wet. I hope it was worth it for it seemed so at the time to me. Golden leaves on a moss covered boulder in a small stream contrast nicely against rushing water

“Clouds on the Water, Fire Near the Sky” / Purchase a Mouse Pad of this image I happened onto this gorgeous sunrise over the White River at a time when the water was at its lowest. I was delighted to catch the calm surface for reflections, as the low rising sun was casting its first orange glow over the autumn colors.

An image with a message in it for me at least. I hope you enjoy. A trio of cottonwood leaves frzone into the ice along the Yakima River. One gold, 2 orange, one pointed West and 2 pointed North. A lesson in diversity of color and direction from nature. There is beauty in all!
