This is an infrared shot. It was a very overcast day – not much blue sky about at all so I tried something a little different with this one. / Hope you like it.

My Saturday hike took mye up little Glade Creek behind a friend’s home to this lovely little waterfall tucked in under an outcropping and a leaning tree. So peaceful with the blessing of real solitude for reflecting on all that is beautiful around me.

The YMCA near my house has a mini version of “The Leaning Tower of Pisa”. Not sure why. Maybe that Chicago suburb + Pisa are sister cities or some rich person from Pisa donated lots of $ to the Y.

Did this quick piece for fun.. I miss my old friend, Brown, a stray cat. And sometimes, before i sleep, i’d imagine this image in mind.. And i’d fall asleep feeling him close to me once again. I first drew the chibi and the cat in flash.. then i did the rest of the painting in photoshop..
