  • Camera: Canon 5D, Lens: 24-70mm at 63mm focal length / ISO 50, Exposure: 10 sec., White Balance Mode: Shade, / Filter: Circ Pollarizing filter A small, mini waterfall, spilling over onto a couple of leaves creating an arch of spray. The expert photographers talk about their love of light. I am more amazed by water. I don’t know what I enjoy more, water when it is perfectly stll and calm or when it’s in motion.

  • Camera: Canon 5D, Lens: Canon 17-40mm f4 L, Exposure: 1 sec / Aperture: f22, ISO 50, Focal length 17mm, / White Balance Mode: Shade A stream that feeds a bigger waterfall at Illinois Canyon in Starved Rock State Park. The sun was partially blocked by all the tree leaves, creating a spotty shaded effect.

  • A small waterfall falling into a small pool in early Fall. Ottawa Canyon is in Starved Rock State Park. You can bet that I will go back to this magical place this summer. Camera: Canon 5D / Lens: Canon 17-40mm / Heliopan thin polarizing filter / Slik 813 CF (carbon fiber) tripod I would like to thank Carlie Hensley for nominating this image of mine into the “Pay it Forward” group. She chose this as her favorite image not just of mine, but on all of RB. Carlie, I am extremely pleased and honored that you did this for me. Thank you a hundred times and God bless you. XOXOXO This is what Carlie said about my work to the Pay if Forward group, “”He is a brilliant photographer. I absolutely love all of his work, but this picture is one of my very favorites”. She deserves some recognition for doing this. Here is the link to her portfolio Carlie Hensley

  • A view that most people don’t see when visiting Starved Rock State Park. Most people view the waterfall at St. Louis canyon from the bottom lookin up. This is the top of the waterfall. Past that edge is a 60 foot vertical drop.

  • Lake Falls in Matthiessen State Park is possibly the most magical, spiritual waterfall I have ever photographed. It is special and always blesses me with a wonderful spiritual feel to it. It inspires me to be religous in some way that I cannot explain. / The whirlpool is like God. He has no beginning and no end. Camera: Canon 5D / Lens: Canon 24-70mm L / Filter: Heliopan thin circular polarizer

  • Yep – my fourth trip this fall! An autumn view of the Ozone Falls at Rickett’s Glen State Park, Benton, PA. I was lucky enough to spend a beautiful day at the falls with some Keystone State members on 10/26/09. The falls were very powerful after a weekend of heavy rain, and there was still plenty of gorgeous color in the leaves. I set the camera on a rock at the base of the falls to get a different perspective on this picture.
