Oil Pastel and Acrylic on old wood with slight digital enhancements Ophelia, puzzled by the radical transformation that had taken place overnight to this butterfly friend of hers, thought to herself, “She was in a white thread-like casing yesterday, how did all that happen so fast? There must be something magical about that case!” This is inspired by a book Hope For The Flowers by Trina Paulus. This is a cute and yet thought provoking story about two caterpillars who because they mistake the meaning of their urge to get high, get entangled climbing a horrible “caterpillar pillar”. And for two caterpillars, we all know, surrendering to the cocoon is the only way to finally fly. Hope For the Flowers is a book that celebrates HOPE. My fave lines from the book is “How does one become a butterfly?” She asked pensively. “You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.” We are all meant to be as beautiful and free like the butterflies, that’s our destiny…as we free ourselves to be who we really are…and together with our innate talents,we bring hope to the world around us, bringing change inevitably around us :D / You can view and buy my other “Metamorphosis” creations from my Zazzle Gallery:

Oil Pastel and Acrylic Ophelia dreamed she was on a journey to a foreign land. In that land, she encountered an exotic purple flower with 3 petals. Though strange in appearance,it had the most calming and relaxing scent Ophelia has ever known. Ophelia was most reluctant to leave this flower and its’ scent when she knew her dream odyssey had to come to an end soon. However, all endings are simply preludes to new beginnings :D / / View other “Dream Odyssey” creations in my Zazzle store: / / /
I painted this over the past two days. Size, 30×40” or 101.6×76.2cm. / Predominantly an acrylic on canvas. After all, there is no such thing as a mistake. Please visit me at my blog
I made a pilgrimage back to the same stretch of river I had explored in the other Pigeon River painting. This time it was leaf season and traffic was snarled for more than 20 miles as the procession of Fall leaf watchers hugged the edges of the mountains. I was never so glad to abandon the main road and take a break in this section of the river away from the city-stye traffic jam. Original ptg: 12” x 18” / acrylic on canvas private collection

Oil Painting on Canvas with mixed media, such as bronze paint, leaves pressed and painted on, gold paint and outliners. Rich colours such as the ones i have used on this painting create deep deep emotions, wether there happy or sad, most often people refer colours such as bright orange, yellow, pink to be happy colours, and associate blues and greys to be sad colours, but in fact the richer and the more contrasy colours are, there the ones that create the deeper moods. I did a survey about this with 100 people, showing them normal happy colours and sad colours (as mentioned above) and then images with this colouring and 99% all agreed this sort of colourings to a image created much more intense emotions wether they were happy or sad.

Creating Magical effects with different forms of Art, is my moto and here i present another very unusual style of painting. It’s a very unique concept of a acrylic painted snowscape made on a real “Dried Pepal Leaf” without skin. Its something hard to believe, but the real leaf painting gives a look which one just keep on gazing on the first sight. The lovely Snowscapes, with varied acrylic shades, sketched very finely & neatly on the surface of a real pepal leaf mounted on a recycled – handmade bamboo paper to give a earthy touch & tones to the painted leaf. / / Even, some of the paintings are made on dried leaf but without the green surface, Infact the green surface from the leaf is been washed out and the remaining Dried veins of the leaf is used as a surface of paining. / / All my artwork is for sale just check out my artwork & send me a mail. /
