Newton Hills State Park in SE South Dakota is a wonderful nature area to hike in and take photographs
There is a beaten track to a place called Protester’s Falls in northern NSW. Most people do it in 15 minutes…I got a bit sidetracked and it took me more than 3 hours! / So many beautiful images that I had to photograph. Nikon D700 24-70mm / ISO 200 / f/22 / 30 seconds
The wispy waterfall of St. Louis canyon in Starved Rock State Park.
Boy did i get soaked here. Good ol canon and its weather sealing. And its a good thing too. Crouched down at the bottom of this lovely little falls that im sure only a handful of people even know about, since you have to hike in to see it. I originally wanted to do an HDR but I feel that the original shot is perfect. Only a temp change, small boost to saturation and unsharp mask of about 200%. / I find that the noise is much better controlled if you shoot with zero sharpening in the camera and do it all in post. So glad I read that tip somewhere.
