Can you imagine children living somewhere in the world tonight sleeping on the ground with Guns and in an army? At five years old and cold blooded killers? / They can look you in the eyes and shoot you dead like stepping on a fly? / Can you imagine? / Can you imagine your child coming home to dinner with blood on his little hands and he’s a killer! / Can you imagine thats not a joke and that some of our baby’s in the world are faced with the choices of kill or be killed every day! / Can you imagine this? / We are a sad race of humans we give a lot of lip service about what we want to do but thats all it is! / There are a few saints out there who have given their lives to help save our children but when you look at the amount of helpers who offer their services with the number of people in the world its a joke! / Who’s gonna step in and help us clean up our mess when we don’t wanna help our selves! / Sad but true we have grown to a point where we are brain dead to so much hate and crime that we simply try to make it from one day to the next safely and with as little contact to our fellow man to avoid conflict! / So who’s gonna come and save the day? / If you don’t want to wipe your own ass then who’s gonna wipe it for you? / This is my wish You know were all connected to one another its tattooed in our blood! Gee can you imagine living in a world where we liked each other? / Can you imagine we lived in a world with out religious hate? / Where we said hello and smiled without all the paranoia? / Where you said to me kind words with meaning and some thought? / And I looked at you as my friend who I know that I can trust! / Can you imagine that type of world? / Can you imagine we all lived on a special planet! / Filled with love and kindness for one another? / Can you imagine that you were loved and slept well because of it! / Can you imagine what it would be like to not have any guns! / And children playing in the park and they never come to harm! / Can you imagine your wife’s out late and coming to her car, and someone steps out with a light and says its dark out can I help you Miss? / Can you imagine what its like to not have any fear? / Can you imagine what its like to not be racist? To look at the next man as your friend even though his colors different! / Can you imagine that we all work to make it be that way! / What would this world be if we were able to change a little every day? / I think we might find its not that hard with just a little try! / Can you imagine?
This is another one of the flowers from my show and poems for her. Heavenly is what I thought the moment that we kissed. / Your lips touched mine and electricity rushed from your lips to mine. / What was this that you sent through me my lips are still in shock. / I come back for a second try and still the same effect. / The feelings that you send through me are like a bolt of lighting. / Every things gone into shock this feelings so electric. / I bend a little like a fool and beckon for another. / I am ready for this so I think my nerves have settled down. / I bend a little closer I am ready for the shock. / Its there again but this time I know what to expect. / So you kiss my lips and I am on fire but this shock is so much better. / And then your lips part a little and then I feel your tongue. / What’s this I feel as your lips kiss mine its soft its warm its wet. / It makes my whole body shake this feeling that it gives. / I turn and toss and finally open my closed eyes. / I feel my body its on fire it starts to come alive. / And then just like electricity my mind is wide awake. / And just as quickly I realize that this was all a dream. / But my mind is still captivated by your heavenly kiss.
This is another one of the flowers from my show and poems for her. The sunrises as it usually does and lifts my spirits high. / I take a moment to realize that its morning once again. / A new day to carry on with my troubled life. / But as I rush out the door I pause to give you thanks. / I thank the lord for all I have not much in some peoples eyes. / But I have a bed and a home thats good enough for me. / I have a roof that keeps me dry and food up on my table. / And its not much but what I have your welcome at my table. / I have room for you my troubled friend your journeys just begun. / But here you can rest awhile before you go again. / And as you shine your light on me my body feels its rays. / I know you’ll stay just for an hour and then your off again. / I look for you each day sometimes you never show. / But when you do you offer me more than you can ever know. / You grace my table with your smile and give me hope to live. / And when I look down at my table I thank God for what I have. / You shine your light on my life and make it all worthwhile. / I’ll look for you tomorrow morning your always welcome here.
This isn’t one of the flowers from my show. Can you imagine seeing this on the ground and wondering what the heck this is? Today was a real crazy day for tiny things! / I wonder how many times I walked past a small flower that was too small to see and then on my knees photographing another flower and this wonder pops up! / Its not anything you would see if not for the other flowers it was planted around. / Its a real wonder ! / Anyway enjoy.
These are not one of the flowers from my show but will be in my book. I found this sitting near the other white flowers that look almost like these but the leaves are a lot shorter and then I realized that they were completely different flowers same family but different. / Hope you enjoy these too.
from a series that i’m working on – all about autumn colours
Désirer Noir – Black desire…...... ..........love is often dark in desire.
Camera: Canon 5D, Lens: Canon 17-40mm f4 L, Exposure: 1 sec / Aperture: f22, ISO 50, Focal length 17mm, / White Balance Mode: Shade A stream that feeds a bigger waterfall at Illinois Canyon in Starved Rock State Park. The sun was partially blocked by all the tree leaves, creating a spotty shaded effect.
This new leaf from a ‘Supple Jack’ vine reveals glimpses of a remarkable aesthetic tendency.
Location: Ottawa Canyon in Starved Rock State Park in Utica, Illinois To me this is what it is all about. I’ll give you a brief self analysis on this one. The corner on the left is dark. The underside of the canyon is dark. I could have made it brighter, but chose against it. / I don’t want every part of the image to be fully exposed. I don’t want every corner lit to match the rest of the image. It is the separation of light and dark to create a mood that I love. I am not always after it, but sometimes I get it, and when I do, I welcome it. Why ruin the mood of an image trying to make everything in the same light. Camera: Canon 5D / Lens: Canon 17-40mm / Filter: Heliopan Thin circular polarizer / Aperture: f22 / Iso: 50 / Shutter Speed: 5 seconds / Weather Conditions: Overcast and cloudy / Vehicle that got me here: 1996 Ford Ranger (just thought I’d throw that in for kicks) / Cost of getting the shot: PRICELESS.
Thank you for reviewing the image and any comments or thoughts you may like to share. Two leaf patterns I fine on a cement slab.
